What's your favorite funny story about yourself?
I won a contest singing the old Miller High Life song in college (When it's time to relax). I guess that was my start in advertising.

What piece of art (movie, book, music, painting, etc) has influenced you most? How or why?
My favorite movie is Dr. Strangelove. Sometimes I think advertising is strategic lunacy. And that movie is smart, strategic lunacy. One of my favorite quotes ever -- President Merkin Muffley: Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

"Harley Spirit. You're born with it." and so as the baby cuts his/her own umbilical cord we deduce that riding harley's is all about freedom. And making mom really worried. Babies are such an advertising trope, it's a little weird at times.


Taking branding to a new level, ink-logos

You've heard of the people who work at ad agencies who tattoo the agency logo on them. Not all logos were created equal though, some really are better than others, and to take it one step further there are those who ink real brands on themselves. This weekend Danny Corrales, aka @coolsideburns the AD you've seen at CP+B, BBDO and as a teacher at The Creative Circus, declared his love for Converse All Star and that classic logo by having them inked onto his ankles. Positioning is everything.

It probably hurt like a motherfucker, but we think the results are worth it. Nicely done Danny.
