Ad Exec infographics, Muppet posters and the death of making the logo bigger.

Art director Michael de Pippo ( @mdepippo on twitter) has created these awesome Muppet posters, which he will due to popular demand make into real posters now. Stay tuned. First one who points out that I look like Animal when I dance gets kicked in the nuts. (It's totally true though).

Make the logo bigger is dead long live Adverve where you'll find Bill Green along with Darryl Ohrt from Brandflakes For Breakfast and Live + Uncensored Angela Natividad combining their ad-klout to make a bigger adblog.

The Beancast 168: A vat of Ranch Dressing

I was as per usual, staying up all night working when @Thebeancast's Bob Knorpp asked if I could join the beancast as he had a last-minute cancellation. Thats how I ended up talking about Panda-updates and a vat of ranch dressing in the wee hours, as you do.

Jason Falls - @jasonfalls - Founder of Social Media Explorer and Shiv Singh - @shivsingh - the Global Head of Digital at Pepsico Beverages joined in. (Shiv has a blog called goingsocialnow too) were on the show with me, and of course our host Bob Knorpp @thebeancast .

Target "Anthem" 2011 :30 USA

Madheart director Jan Gleie explores the joy of sport, as experienced by ordinary people, in a heartfelt new campaign for Target and Minneapolis agency Peterson Milla Hooks. The group of 15-, 30- and 60-second spots, promoting C9 active-wear by Champion, consist of real-life vignettes of people passionately engaged in running, bike-riding, weight training, golf and other athletic activities. The visuals have an evocative, poetic sense in support of the tagline, “Life Well Worn.”

'tis International Talk like a gentleman o' fortune tide day. That is, talk like a pirate day.

Hello! `Tis International Talk like a sea dog tide again. Fer th' past six voyages, we`ve amused ourselves (on accoun' o' we be so easily amused) wi' changin' th' site ever' this tide ever' voyage t' talk like a sea dog. I be shoutin' like a mutinous reef monkey at my own prank. This will be the last year we pull this stunt.

It's a bit difficult to pull off, see, and this year you can only see that the words have changed to pirate-talk in the retweets & comments, but not in the posts. The site has simply grown too large for full-on pirate. Oh nay! What a shame! Ya scurvy dog who ortin' t' be keel hauled!

Ad Chat - Ron Smrczek

This Monday we chat with Ron Smrczek the Executive Creative Director of TAXI Europe. You can catch up with him on twitter as @smrczek where he shared many interesting links.

What's your favorite funny story about yourself?
- I used to be a serious ten-pin bowler.

What piece of art (movie, book, music, painting, etc) has influenced you most? How or why?
I've been given this book several times from different people. I have three copies of it. And I always pick it up when I need some inspiration – "It's Not How Good You, It's How Good You Want to Be" by Paul Arden.

Who was your favorite mentor and why?

International Talk Like A Pirate Day Campaign

So word on the street is that Sept. 19th is Talk Like A Pirate Day. It's a fairly old holiday (about 16 years old) but I have never heard of it until a friend of mine sent me a note about it.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a parodic holiday created in 1995 by John Baur (Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), of Albany, Oregon, U.S., who proclaimed September 19th each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate. According to Wikipedia, an observer of this holiday would greet friends not with "Hello," but with "Ahoy, matey!"

Photographer parodies a Justin Bieber video with the song "Pay me" about infringement

Tokyo-based editorial photographer Irwin Wong channels Justin Beiber in this music video where he croons "pay me pay me pay ooooh, pay me" to all those who won't cease and desist.

This song goes out to all my photographer homies who have had their copyright infringed!

On Irwin's own blog he launched this song as "the long awaited single from washed-up pop artist Irwin W. is out. Irwin W. - who is not me although he incidentally looks and sounds exactly like me, is actually the Scottish-Japanese former-frontman for the 80′s photography-based rock band High ISO." Ha!
