ROC / Republic of Chicken - Fire scooter deliveries - (2011) case study (India)

ROC had a problem, people didn't order in food, because they believed that by the time it arrived it was cold. Not all deliveries suffered from delivering cold foods, and ROC never did, but how does one tell people they deliver hot food?

Hyundai Veloster - Death (fooled) - (2011) :30 (The Netherlands)

The board of directors at Hyundai did not approve this ad, as they deemed it "too shocking for our brand", but it's still quite a funny and effective idea showing off the three-door car.

Charlex and GSD&M Dance with AT&T - AT&T: Dancing Through DSL (2011)

Charlex is well known for its superior visual effects work and imaginative concepts. You can find all of those elements on display in their entertaining new :60 spot for AT&T, Dancing Through DSL.

The spot, as simple as it may seem on the surface, was actually borne out of a detailed treatment created by Charlex Director, Ryan Dunn. The spot sets out to create a storyline that effectively reveals all the benefits of AT&T's new high-speed Internet service in a single, transformative space.

Youtube "thumbnail-banner ad" - the thumbnails returned in search create a giraffe.

Here's an odd idea, to see it simply search for # DouptoYoutubeBanner on youtube. (or click that working link so you don't have to type so much). Ad agency twentythree in Israel - the guys who kidnapped Alex Bogusky's facebook page remember? - created this little stunt for Doupto.com. Now all they have to do is solve the issue of having the target search for the "DouptoYoutubeBanner" on youtube. I don't think you guys reading this are it.

Belgrade "Clean up after your dog" (So we can check out your ass) - print, Serbia

"For beautiful city. Clean after your dog." reads the ha-ha-ha not funny at all line in this Serbian ad from the city of Belgrade that aims to encourage people to pick up after their dogs. So other people can check out their ass? To dodge the obvious "sexist" complaint they've even tossed in one man in the campaign that consists of four butt-shots. Oh hooray. This is my bored face.

CASIO G'zOne Commando (2011) :30 USA

CASIO G'zOne Commando (2011) :30 USA

Kevin Ward of bi-coastal Original has directed a new, action-driven campaign for CASIO in which extreme athletes test the ultimate toughness of the company’s new G'zOne Commando™ wireless phone. Conceived by The Richards Group, the campaign comprises six spots and features elite athletes from surfing, BMX racing, adventure running and other sports.
In one spot, a boxer pounds a phone strapped to a heavy bag. It survives. In another, three phones are strapped to the hood and undercarriage of a rally car that then proceeds to roar through a rugged, dirt course. The phones continue to work flawlessly. The spots end with the tagline, "Shock resistant…water resistant…life resistant."

Jung von Matt keeps lion for "Hitchhiker"

Last week Jung von Matt were having a bad week, there was much confusion around who did the Zalando ad, and if it was to be released at all. But worse, their "Hitchhiker" campaign ended up in Badland and risked having the awarded lion pulled.

Be Super Ordinary

By taking the Fire Safety Audit on Facebook people are protecting their family and community, as well as helping the firefighters do their job. They deserved to be honoured. So all of them will have their face projected on a 3 metre high bronze statue with a digital face in the Sydney CBD.

Remember the mayor who ran over illegally parked cars with a tank? Fake story.

Remember the mayor if Vilnius, Arturas Zuokas, who 'got tough' on illegally parked cars using a tank? The story was all over the blogosphere, and the clip is easily found on youtube, but it's a fake story.

The quirky stars (and I use that term loosely) of an offbeat show known as Erik & Mackan were in Vilnius last Saturday to create a few clips for their show. At first they had an idea to shoot cars with a tank, but when that was (forgive the pun) shot down, the mayor himself suggested they run over illegally parked cars instead. And thus a legendary 'news clip' was born.
