Bob Garfield's Genius Dialogues on Kickstarter

Bob Garfield, the original adcritic, host of "On the Media" at NPR and author of at least a half-dozen books has a kickstarter campaign up now. They're seeking help to make Bob Garfield's "Genius Dialogues" with MacArthur's 'Genius' Grant Recipients available as multimedia ebooks/shows. Conversations with the people whose ideas are shaping our future, presented by Bob.

Ads on Snapchat? Yes, very soon.

In Vanity Fair, of all places, we find Snapchat C.E.O. Evan Spiegel teasing the idea of ads on Snapchat

Spiegel revealed that advertising would be coming to the app “soon.”


“We’re cutting through the new technology around ads to the core of it, which is telling a story,” he said. “People are going to see the first Snapchat ads soon, they’re going to be around our Stories product.”

Sophie brings with her extensive experience across agency, VFX and motion design production and until recently has been overseeing the growth and development of the MPC Motion Design studio, which specializes in dynamic motion graphics, design, illustration and animation.

Making your portfolio look like Lürzers Archive: Badlanded!

This Badlander is fun! Creatives René Schultz and Casper Christensen wanted to get their portfolio in front of creative directors, who are notoriously hard to get an appointment with. They decided to disguise their portfolio as Lürzer's Archive magazine, containing all of their work, QR codes leading to online videos and even fake interview articles with themselves.
