Finally, the constant joking that we needed an irony or satire tag in HTML has become a reality, as Facebook introduces the satire tag which will weed out the Onion posts from actual news so people can stop being confused by the web. My, when did we all become so gullable? Perhaps when they removed the word from the dictionary, to paraphrase an old joke.

Ignore no more is an android app whereby you can lock your kids phone, and they have to call you back to unlock it. This is what happens when you let a teacher turned app-maker, as Sharon Standifird is, start making things that are useful outside of tech hipster bubbles. No mug declaring what you drink, no cat food app, but a solution to a problem every mother - and father - of a teenager faces today. They hit "ignore" when you call.

Russian Social media site Odnoklassniki rebrands as OK

Odnoklassniki is Russia's second largest social media site. It's full of user generated content, mostly photos and videos. To rebrand itself as a more modern and exciting site, Odnoklassniki is rebranding itself starting with the domain. It is now called Ok.Ru, and it has a whole new look to go along with the name. To celebrate the change, designer Karim Rashid created three unique visual themes for the OK home page.

When you go to the landing page, you are greeted with one of three themes. The background designs are fluid, and move amoeba-like.

Gavin McInnes fired for having an dissenting opinion

Adweek reported yesterday that Gavin McInnes was forced to take an indefinite leave of absence from his CCO role at New York shop, Rooster, following an essay written on Thought Catalog called "Transphobia is Perfectly Normal." Lovely bit of linkbait wouldn't you say? I wonder how many people actually read it.
