I Spent £5.89 on Twitter Advertising And Here's What I Learned

We've all heard the one "If you're not the customer then you're the product being sold." Well guess what - it's painfully true. Twitter, Facebook and all those other social media platforms don't specifically exist to give you warm fuzzy feelings when confronted with a cat doing something cute. They're there to make bundles of cold hard cash selling your eyeballs to advertisers. I gave £5.89 to twitter and here's what I learned.

Juice billboard declares: "Once you go black....."

The trendy black bottle for fruit juices that taste good but are less than appetizing to look at has reached the USA. While German based True Fruits sold their black bottle with the idea of beauty on the inside, which offended some readers, USA based Juice (served here) decided to take another route.

Smuggling Goatse into digital billboards is an old school (and gross) hack-prank by now, I know that I've tried it , but seldom as successful as this one.

FortaCloud adds lingerie clad woman to hosting offer on twitter = instant retweets

At first glance the image of a woman in lingerie draped across a bed staring seductively at the camera seems so misplaced in a tweet about discounted hosting that one suspects the social media manager slipped the wrong image into the tweet by mistake. Upon further inspection, it seems they've taken a cue from the Protein World twitter trolling tactic, and are aiming to woo the "I like semi-undressed women in my twitter feed" crowd as customers.

Music video, commercial and feature film director Joseph Kahn has joined Supply&Demand. Kahn’s clients include Samsung, Adidas, Target, Johnny Walker, BMW, Mercedes, T-Mobile, Budweiser, Bacardi, HP, Nascar and PlayStation.

Kahn’s reel is compelling across genres. His work has had widespread cultural appeal with awards such as Grammy Best Video, MTV VMA Best Director, Music Video London Icon Award, MVPA Director of the Year, and Clio for Visual Effects on Fox Sports.

AirBnB has a floating house available in London

Brothers and TBWA creative directors Nick and Steve Tidball created this floating house cottage that is making it's way around the river Thames. It's a two story building in bright blue, with a colorful mid-century modern interior, boasting two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room, as well as its very own garden with a dog house.
