Seattle hamburger joint shows Jesus smoking a joint, because marketing.

Seattle burger joint Lunchbox Laboratory saw a huge opportunity in the fact Easter falls on April 20th this year. What better way to get press than combining the most important holiday in the Christian religion with a stoner holiday as a giant fuck you to a lot of people, only to claim that's a good thing because you're getting talked about.

Kanye West speaks about his collaboration with adidas

At this employee-only event, presumably in Herzogenaurach Germany, where Adidas is headquartered, Kanye West gave a performance, and spoke to the employee crowd about the upcoming designs he will "create" for the brand. Check out the video below. It's very lo-fi though but the audio's decent.

Upland Brewery Company gets an updated look

Designers, prepare to geek out on this really nice work by Young & Laramore for Indiana-based Upland Brewery Company. IN addition to packaging they did the collateral, signage and tap handles made from real axe handles. Hand made indeed. The logo was illustrated by Colorado artist The Bungaloo!. Packaging and related materials, done by France’s BMD Design.
Is it too early for a frosty cold one?

#Sharefordogs - the adorable clip that turns slactivism into money

Aaaaaaw! Puppies! Oh yes, Pedigree has found your soft spot, dear slactivists, and have unleashed #Sharefordogs, a posse of cute puppies, on the world in order to actually make money for dogs. How so? Well, they know you by now, they know you'll share the puppy-clip with all your friends and family, and all you ever do is click "share", "like" and make "aaaw" faces at your screen. So they've turned this into their advantage:

#NotABugSplat puts giant portraits of children in the landscapes targeted by drones

Notabugsplat is a giant art installation project created by an artist collective in Pakistan and the US, including the french artist JR. By rolling out a really large image of a child's face near dwellings, the artists hop to jolt drone operators sitting thousands of miles away who refer to kills as BugSplats into realizing that there's great human loss in each strike.

Music's going out of business and you're to blame.

A few days ago the above tweet from Bette Midler got some attention. She's one more in a series of prominent and once best-selling musicians who are displaying how their royalties have shrunk to laughable rates thanks to music streaming services.

Comic Sans new face: Comic Neue

A very unlikely hero just appeared, it's Comic Sans redesigned. It's Comic Neue.

Comic Neue aspires to be the casual script choice for everyone including the typographically savvy.

The squashed, wonky, and weird glyphs of Comic Sans have been beaten into shape while maintaining the honesty that made Comic Sans so popular.

It's perfect as a display face, for marking up comments, and writing passive aggressive office memos.

Samsung's Obama and Ortiz selfie sneakily breaks all the ad rules

Ortiz snapped a selfie of him and Obama holding the jersey he gifted to the president, and all hell broke loose. You see, Red Sox slugger David Ortiz has a deal with Samsung to use Samsung phones, but as he told the Boston Globe, the tweeted selfies with famous people and current Presidents isn't part of that deal. Boston Globe reporter asked Ortiz straight: “Did Samsung pay you any more money for taking that photo?”
