John Jackson new creative director at HUGE breaks up with Los Angles before heading to NYC

HUGE's new creative director is a west coast import, and before heading east he created Adios LA billboards to break up with Los Angeles city proper.

On Lincoln Blvd, Olympic Blvd, Venice blvd, Beverly Blvd and Highland ave you can find these real billboards created by John Jackson who left LA for a gig in New York city and apparently had money to burn (or pre-scheduled media slots and favors to cash in, more likely).

Kim Kardashian is dead (yeah, I wish), for "Keep a child alive" campaign

Lady Gaga, Alecia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Elijah Wood and Kim Kardashian staged digital death on twitter by giving up tweeting December 1 to direct attention to the "Keep a Child Alive" buy life campaign. They also posed for posters, and Kim had to go the arm up sexy route, presumably to gather donations from necrophiliacs. At least Alecia Keys is playing dead proper.

Fans can help "buy the stars" back by donating to KCA through the Buy Life site, with a StickyBits app that scans Buy Life barcodes, or by texting BUYLIFE to 90999.

The idea isn't just to dress their posters with celebrity eye candy, the celebs are "dying" online by shutting down their social networking until one million dollars is raised.

The H-57 Design team geeked out in all orts of ways here, creating illustrations of stormtroopers, Darth Vader and Yoda himself only out of type. Go Italy, go Milan, go geeks. There's of course the wee issue of it not using H-57 designed fonts, and the whole borrowed interest thing, but it's still pretty cute.
