97 Intel ad in Super Bowl - need to know song/musician

Thanks, Claymore. I found the ad you referred to, but as I*m not yet a super adgrunt, I can*t view it.

I had even contacted Intel about this and all they could come up with was "Shake Your Groove Thing" by

Peaches & Herb. But I*m pretty sure that*s not it....

I*ll keep digging... thanks again ! razz

Help ! This is driving me crazy. I believe it was the 1997 Super Bowl. Intel was advertising their [then] new Pentium II chip and they ran an ad with a VERY catchy 70*s tune - all instrumental - with driving keyboard riffs. I know the tune, but can*t remember either the name of the piece, or the artist who did it. It was someone LIKE Booker T and the MGs, but I don*t believe it was them. Can you help me ? confused

Lay down the boogie / Play that funky Music is done by James brown.

Dab,

Thanks for the help, but it*s actually another tune that I*m trying to ID.

The piece in question was purely instrumental, no lyrics. it may well be

that I have the year wrong, but it was an intel Pentium ad.

FYI - even though it*s not the track you*re looking for, Play that Funky Music is by Wild Cherry.

And if it*s 1997, and with the Bunny People (the guys in full clean room suits), then it*s probably for the Intel Pentium (pre-II).

In 1998 (superbowl), there was a spot for Pentium II that ran which might be the beast - search for "Intel Pentium II - Very Technical (1998) - 030 (USA)" - might that be the one? I don*t know the music source, but it might bring someone closer to the answer.

Wild cherry? See, you learn new stuff every day. grin

aaah, that (or rather this <!-- BBCode Start -->Intel Pentium II - Very Technical (1998) - 030 (USA)<!-- BBCode End -->) does sound more like something Booker T would be doing but I don*t recognise it. *hmmm*
