The One Show Competition (which already happened, but there is next year) sets a brief, so does D&AD (deadline is coming up), and the Cannes Young creatives Competition does also. If you check the Cannes website you can find info on the Itialin sponsor and email them for the brief.
Hope this helps

You got me wrong. Best Yet has NOT an Italian version.
Hey that*s great! So you have an award you can compete in then.
Why don*t they have a Best Yet Italy site though?
I don*t know if anybody is interested in knowing it,
but I have written confirmation from the Swedish Best Yet organizators that there*s no Best Yet in Italy.
Thanks for the info.
About Cannes I*ve also heard of the "young lions" competition, but I think it*s only for people who sent something to Cannes, not my case.
Best Yet site is quite clear about the fact it doesn*t have a Italian sponsor, anyway I*m gonna check by e-mailing them.
Ah, looks like the finals are hosted in different countries each year as on this page
http//www.newspapersoc.org.uk/Documents/Events&awards/Creativejuice2003/cj-intro.htm
it reads
ps - yes it*s an award where you work on their breif, you have 24 hours or somesuch. You can also bring a partner to the competition that you don*t normally work with.
Greetings Tonnaso
Do they have the "Best Yet" award in Italy? Here is the website for Best Yet Sweden
http//www.bestyet.nu/
The award competition starts with a brief, you solve it, and if you win you go to compete with the rest of Europe, so they simplyu have to have this award in Italy as well. The Swedish one is sponsored by the Swedish tradepress and easily found through them. In the UK it*s called creative juice and here is a page with their winners of 2003
http//www.newspapersoc.org.uk/Documents/Events&awards/Creativejuice2003/best_yet.htm
It*s hard to find centralized info on this award - I suspect that it is called the Young Dogs in Holland, this is becaue I remember the Dutch Young Dogs each year I was down there had a tent with lots of other young dogs where they competed against each other, won some award and then got terribly drunk. They*re in Cannes between the tuesday and the thursday, they fly home friday morning - but that is still a lot of Cannes for free. grin
So, I*d be googling like mad and checking the big tradepress in Italy - you have to have a best yet the question is who sponsors it and when is the competition.....
Hi everyone. I*m a typical young dog in advertising. I have a 7 months work experience in a small agency (based in Milan) and I*m still working there, as an Art Director.
I*m not in a cutting-edge agency and real world (and real briefs) sets hard rules it*s difficult to make a great book with everyday work.
Up until now I found only one last resort to this problem the Young Guns award. In fact, I sent a good ad for the "creative brief" (but somehow I didn*t manage to get 1st place). I decided to partecipate to this award because, differently from other competitions out there, they did not only want to receive real ads but they also set a brand new brief and asked for a creative solution.
Apart from the Young Guns Award, I*m asking myself if there are other initiatives like that around. Does anybody know something about it?
