Well, let me think. What can I say about Strawberryfrog.

For some reason a lot of ignorent advertising people in Europe think they*re as hot as Wieden & Kennedy or 180. Yet they produce so much crap, I cannot remeber ever seeing something interesting leaving their offices (or it would be the account girls razz ). Then again, they are still pretty busy and that*s a rarity these days. I*m pretty sure I wouldn*t mind working there; at least you would be quite busy. These times can force a person to be less critic about where they want to work. cry

Strawberry tends to work with freelancers only, but now they*re looking for someone on a more permanent basis. If you are from abroad, this might be a good chance to get into the Dutch advertising industry as their operating language is English. But so are W&K and 180, try them first.

This is what Strawberryfrog has posted for their job description

Jr American copywriter to work on advertising assignments from top international clients. You will work internationally on the creation and execution of American campaigns, including tv, commercials, outdoorprint as well as untraditiol media.Work closely with senior creativedirector and partners.

University degree with concentration in Marketing or creative writing. The ideal candidate will also have a degree in copywriting from recognized advertising program.

Damn, I*m probably too senior for them.

So, you Mr/s Gezellig - Have you heard good things about Strawberryfrog? I*m afraid it doesn*t have a good rep here in Canada, as our favorite Canadian to hate (apart from that Molsen Rant guy) is CD there. It*s probably an unjust reputation, so I*d like to hear another opinion.

How is Scott these days?

Strawberryfrog in Amsterdam, The netherlands are actually looking for a native English copywriter. Not too senior. Not really really junior.

Niranjan,

Kendall Tarrant are good, But I would also recommend CANNA KENDALL & CO LTD (83 Charlotte Street, London W1T 4PR Tel +44 20 7580 3455). I was looking for a copywriter through both agencies recently and Canna Kendall gave me better books (that being said, when I moved to London two years ago, Kendall Tarrant got me my 4 interviews and two job offers within a week). Incidentally, Who would you recommend in Singapore. I*m looking to make the move the other way, i*m fed up with the rubbish weather? smile

ps - definatly have a chat with Ms Kendall -

http//www.kendalltarrant.com/kendall/

- as she places creatives from the UK in singapore/hong kong and the other british ad colonies. grin

Just thinking she might be your best bet in doing the reversed then. Plus she*s actually quite nice.

Also, I heard that Danny Lennon is a headhunter with a clue - but thats in the United states - the 203 area code.. And you*re not looking for the US aye?

Hi people,

Just needed some advice on how does an English language writer based in Singapore look for work in Europe? Need help with headhunters* names and email addresses. Got over seven years of experience and a few awards to show for that.
