I'm not sure of the name of the investment company (AGA Investment?), The TV commercial was called, "Medusa" and it was part of a series using mythical characters to show that everyone retires eventually. Ads ran in the '90s sometime, in North America.

oh no!! All the time when I was reading the comments I was hoping that the ad will be found!
It would habe been also extremely useful for my thesis now :( Such a pitty! That would have been perfect! :(
just in case there are some new news from that, please please please write me: hrgs@gmx.at
AGF from the Everybody Retires Eventually campaign.
It won some awards in 1999.
I miss the ad! I had a crush on the girl!

*bwahahahahaha* !
Now, it might be AIG retirement! The AIG logo looks familiar, but there are so many three letter logos out there I can't be sure. No luck yet with the waybackmachine. This was a full award-winning campaign. I don't understand why I can't find even a mention of it. It's like it has been erased from history. It wouldn't surprise me if Athena had something to do with this. Of course, if I've done something to make Athena angry with me, not finding that TV ad is the least of my worries. *feels top of head for snakes*
How frustrating, I've been looking but I fund nothing so far. Hmmm. Hang on, have you tried the waybackmachine?
I think the name of the company is AIG Life of Canada. This is extremely frustrating. Years ago, the commercial was on the company website. It had a description, and some added information on the commercial. The problem was, the commercial was in streamed Real Player format (or some other crappy format) and I couldn't save the ad. I can't find a word about the ad anywhere I look on the 'net. No clues. I'll keep looking.
It won an award, I read. I can't remember which one. I can't even find the company website anymore. They once had the commercials, and write ups about the commercials on the web site, but they were in streamed Real Audio or some other crappy player, so I couldn't save it. The memory came back to me recently, so I thought I would try here after I tried searching Adland.
If my memory serves - it started with a shot of a woman's legs walking by a swimming pool. There were shots of stone statues, one on a diving board, I remember. Perhaps one in a floating chair in the pool. A bartender gets turned to stone, so does a attractive man the woman sees. The Medusa part in revealed at the end, and she sighs after she turns the guy to stone.
The behind the scenes story is they used a combination of animated and live snakes. The live snakes had a habit of going down the model/actress's dress to escape the direct sunlight while they were shooting the commercial.
Is it AGA, or AGI. Damn it! I can't remember!
Don't recall that one but we do have a very dated looking Medusa for shampoo. :)
