I distinctly remember those ads and the music (unfortunately not able to id it for you either)... what I do remember about the music and the concept was the feeling that it gave me which was "over the top!"

I think I*ve narrowed it down now. The ads actually aired in 1991, and were part of a series of "Chess" ads for the US Marines. It was an intense series of ads featuring a live game of some sort of battle-chess, I guess. ANY info on the music, or where I could research it, would be truly appreciated. I*ve been wanting to find this music for years.
Thanks!!

shame it wasnt one of the superbowl ads were currently posting [that goes back quite a few years] the we all could*ve listened and guessed.

Doesn*t ring a bell in my head - hope one of the military boyz and gals can help on this one [we get a lot of .mil traffic]. grin

I*m desperately looking for a song that was used in an older US Armed Forces ad (maybe four or five years ago). I know it*s a longshot, but if you don*t try, you can*t find it, right? The ad featured soldiers jousting on horses, in black and silver armor (if I remember correctly), and was accompanied by VERY dramatic music that sounded like it may have been an excerpt from an opera. If ANYONE remembers this ad, or knows the music (or somewhere I might be able to find out), I*d be very appreciative.
Thanks!
Swerved.
