Junior Graphic Designer - SMG Africa

We are looking for a junior designer to join our growing design team. The designer will fulfill a fundamental role in the SMG Africa design team - and will be involved in idea generation as well as the design and implementation of creative work for all SMG Africa clients.

The role requires conceptual creativity, attention to detail in layout, a passion for typography as well as a knowledge and understanding of design principles across various mediums. The designer will work in collaboration with the Design Director within the SMG Africa design studio, ensuring that all creative is translated into a style and function that works. The focus is on design excellence, usability and innovation. The designer will also work with our Head of Applied Design - to develop technical solutions for our clients.

Our team is small (currently 10) - and our designers are key in establishing a unique culture which helps to shape the future of our clients communications needs.

You will want to become a key member of a creative team operating in a dynamic and fast paced environment covering a range of design mediums (Corporate identity / brand development, retail, product, wayfinding, interiors, web, presentations and annual reports).
