I worked in one in Detroit but here things went down the hill after they signed a dedicated one client contract with Chrysler again... confused

That story is so depressing.
This old thread feels rather current - as BBDO Detroit shut it's doors due to Chrysler.

Damn those Canucks!! evil
...oh wait.... ((looks in mirror)) erm... never mind.
//Canuck myself : )
Yeah, Canadians suck. (just kidding Canada)
I have no idea what's going on inside. The last person I knew there left at least a year ago, and she said there were huge changes going on. Must have something to do with those dang Canadians.
Any BBDOers out there willing to comment anonymously? How about checking my spelling?
Maybe, you're right about AOL, but their work on FedEx is awful. They haven't done anything with Pepsi in years. And you just laugh with shame at their Chyrsler (ex. Jeep) stuff.
I hadn't heard about the hiring. Maybe that will help, but my sources say that inside the shop everyone is trying to get out...regardless of what the PR flacks try to tell adage. And I also heard that they even put some candian in charge of NY...like whats that about?
Really? I havent been following them, but I thought they had just gone on a recruiting spree to get lots of top talent.
What have they goofed up? I know it's old, but they have done wonders to AOL's campaign. Do you remember what it was like before BBDO? It was straight up cult talk scary.
And I still like their Oral-B work. Compelling, and yet just self-depreicating enough to charm me into paying attention.
The great golden BBDO seems to have turned to tin. What*s wrong with it. Has its day just passed, or is the goofs that they put in charge of the place....lets bring back phil!
