  • Hi Everyone It*s the Marketing Professor again asking for help on another lecture I am preparing! I want to show my students how commercials appeal to needs according to Maslow*s Hierarchy. Maslow is a psychologist that states that people have five *motivations or needs* that drive all behavior. They are needs for 1. Physiological needs food, shelter etc 2. Safety needs need for security 3. Social needs desire for love, belonging, affection etc. 4. Esteem needs the need for recognition, self-respect 5. Self-actualization needs desire to reach one*s full potential. This theory can be applied to advertising - namely that advertising can be effective by appealing to these five basic needs. I want to find commercials that appeal to all of Maslow*s needs. For example, the recent Adidas *Nadia* campaign would fit nicely under a commercial that appeals to the *Self-actualization need.* Can others recommend commercials on this site that fit into all the categories?   • Hi Here is a great case of a virtually identical advertisement for two companies Miller Beer and Danier Leather. The Miller Ad is found in ad-rag at http//adland.tv/102943.php The Dainer leather ad can be viewed at http//www.danier.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/DanierLeatherCanada/Static_InMedia.d2w/report I believe the Danier Leather ad came out first.   • Hello I am a Marketing Professor at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, Canada. I teach the marketing communications course and I would like to show students commercials that have been Plagiarized. To do this, I would like to find two commericals in .wmv, .mov or other format where the theme/content of the ads are copied from each other.
