For your information all commercials from that time period were mastered on 3/4inch umatic tape and the quality is still very good. We do not include the usatvads.com super on those commercials. We have been been in business for 34 years, so something must be working.

  • There was a wonderful ad done 15 years ago for Sony. It showed a person on a sofa changing during his life from baby to old man. Could that me the one you are looking for? It was called life style I believe

  • Hi Dabitch, Thanks for promoting our site. Yes we do have the Fast Talker TV Ad and it can be viewed and downloaded on line in our Review of the Golden Oldies of TV Advertising. You can download it in either quicktime or Windows Media Player. There is a charge for the screening of $19.95. The commercial was not produced by Joe Pytka (My friend for 30+ years) P.S. The first commercial he produced was for me when he started in Pittsburgh. The fast talker spot was shot by Joe Sedelmeir. He did almost all of the early FedEx spots. We have a feature of the top FedEx commercials from the early 1980*s included in our review of the Golden Oldies of TV Advertising. Here*s a link of the list of spots included. http//www.usatvads.net/html/screenindex.html

  • Dabitch you are almost correct. The Is it live or Memorex campaign actually started around 1974 with Ella Fitzgeral singing and breaking the glass. We have included it on our home page for everybody to view. Just go to http//www.usatvads.com You are also correct. The campaign lasted for more than 10 years and we do have shattering glass commercials for 1982 done by a Rock Band. Hope this information helps.
