Preem vs Good Guys Auto.

This is the most blatant ripoff that I have seen so far!
Note that even the lines are more or less directly translated, as in " It's an american car.." vs "It smells Swedish..".

The good guys auto ads was in the 1995 Communication Arts Annual, and I'm sure they won a nice bunch of addy, andy, beffie bessie, clio and other assorted awards.

A classic case of A and B ideas / Perception - Reality

My old tutor Gillard used to rip our ads to shreads if we resorted to the left hand page "A" and the right hand page "B" idea. Here's a classic case of two A and B's with similar message.

Separated at birth? Three drinks do the same thing.

Three different product, (all drinkable - uh, no wait, that depends on who you ask..), three similar headlines, three identical propositions? What happened here?

This ad campaign may no longer run in Norway after several drivers have skidded off the road at the sight of the former Playboy model in a corset.

H&M are probably thrilled about the press.
