25 minutes. That's how long KLM's Mexico tweet lasted.

On twitter KLM celebrated the Netherlands win against Mexico in the world cup with a snarky "Adios Amigos!". Since the simple icon depicting a Mexican on the Airline Departure sign has a moustache, scarf & sombrero symbol on it, I quickly predicted that was going to bit them in the ass, all the while Digiday, Buzzfeed and I'm sure countless advertising and marketing professionals ran off to post on Linkedin about how bad this idea was.

Facebook experiments with "emotion contagion" in social media. Which emotion triggers buying?

In this paper, facebook scientists reveal some of what they've learned while experimenting with "emotion contagion", a well known phenomena where positive or negative emotions are transferred to people that come in contact with the positive, or negative, person. At Facebook they tested this in the realm of social media, by messing with peoples feeds.

YOLO is the first brand to use YO.

Well that didn't take long. YO, the new app which allows users to send one word - YO!
to their friends, now has its first ad concept. Israeli gift shop YOLO will award a free gift to each user that sends and receives a YO back, by presenting it in any of their shops. YOLO, by the way, just launched this May. It features pop merchandise and school accessories, so the kids will no doubt be using YO to get some free swag from YOLO.

In a recent post on Virgin's blog, Celebrated CEO Richard Branson celebrates Tesla head Elon Musk for freezing "their patent portfolio to help accelerate sustainable transport."

Blacklist & Dvein win AICP award for "Magma"

Both Adobe and Blacklist have reason to be proud today, as Blacklist directors DVEIN took home an AICP award in the Design category for their film "Magma" (below).

Barcelona studio Dvein went full surreal with desolate paint flooded landscapes made up of mildly terrifying old man faces. Created for The Vein track “Magma”, the project came to Dvein as a commission from Adobe to create an art piece that would launch their new Creative Cloudsystem.

Every country has its own particular way of playing football. For Spain, it's tiki-taka For Germany it's highly disciplined. For Italy, it's winning the Oscar for the best Dramatic Fake Fall. I kid!

Do you remember the Bear form the Canal + spot?
Of course you do. it was one of the best spots in the past five years. By the way, Monsieur Ours has a name and it's Paul Bearman. So freaking cute!

Anyway, BETC and company have rightly brought him back for a very fun interactive site. In it, you have hte chance to Be the bear. It's a kind of Choose Your Own Adventure, but with you as director. Very fun.
