The first UK brand to fall for the 'Sponsored lenses' ad platform hype is Cadbury, who offer you a special lens today whereby you can get gooey egg all over you face. You can get the eggs to spill out of your mouth, finishing off with cadbury egg goo splatter on the lens. Brandrepublic reports that the idea was conceived by Elvis, who also created the Cadbury Creme Egg Café. Laura Mimoun, brand manager for Cadbury Creme Egg, said:
"Snapchat is a unique platform that reaches a very specific audience in a native environment. Its tone of voice and brand personality is spot on for Cadbury Creme Egg and is key for our target audience.
Lenses on Snapchat used be for sale to the users, but Snapchat has closed the store in favour of free rainbow puke and sponsored lenses.
