HUSH is proud to announce the addition of award-winning architectural designer Benjamin Gray to its skilled roster. Already an accomplished creative across physical structures, lighting and digital design, Gray brings his valuable experience to HUSH’s growing talent pool.
“As HUSH continues to expand our work in the design and experiential world, we are keen to incorporate artists with experience across both physical spaces and digital interaction,” says Creative Partner David Schwarz, “and we really see value in people who can design physical forms as easily as they can work within the digital realm.” Gray’s acquisition comes as no surprise as HUSH reinforces its multidisciplinary approach to experiential concepts and design.
Gray has spent his career bending the lines between architecture, design, and technology. He received a degree in architecture from Portland State University and studied urban planning in Spain, focusing his work as a hybrid between physical concepts and new media. As a photographer at Sandbox Studio, he developed a commercial eye working with notable brands such as Kenneth Cole, Vans, The North Face, Dr. Martens, Nike and more.
Soon after, Gray began work at Works Partnership Architecture in Portland, Oregon, where he contributed to a number of award-winning projects, including a BIA Outstanding Architecture award for the Prototype A tract house, the 2010 PA Award and Architect Magazine feature for the Theatre 300b Project, and an Architectural Record Design Vanguard Award. Later, he became a partner at RSVR, a visual research firm specializing in light-based installations, designing and implementing experiences for the Push Arts Festival in Seattle, Spaceworks Gallery in Tacoma, and bSIDE6 Gallery in Portland, as well as an installation for Nike at the Summit Music Hall in Denver, CO.
The addition of Gray follows the signing of multi-talented artist Andre Salyer, as well as lead technical producer Eric Alba, rounding out a series of expansive hires for HUSH to better serve their growing client roster.
