Pitney Bowes "Craftsman of Commerce" (2016) 1:00 (USA)

Pitney Bowes: The Craftsman of Commerce. Is it just me or does this spot feel like it could have come out in the 90's during the first dot.com bubble burst? It feels very empowering, and yet I feel like I've also heard every word in this spot before. And just like the spots from the late 90's, it tells you everything and nothing. Commerce is fast and business is competitive and somewhere in there, is Pitney Bowes.

Not sure about the 90's but it's a direct copy of the Sap Hana "The Answer is Simple commercial"

An actual craftsman's picture

The craftsman concept is really creepy for a huge, faceless digital corporation. As a real craftsman, who makes beautiful and useful things with my actual hands, I find the Pitney Bowes advertising really offensive.

It also reminds me of the creepy Sap Hana ad that claims their corporation has a soul. It is all such Brave New World newspeak.
