Die ŠKODA "Gefällt-mir-Wochen" (2014) :30 (Germany)

Someone told me the German VO in this spot for the ŠKODA- Yeti is saying something along the lines of: "The Škoda 'like-weeks' -- Get Germany's awarded brand now. Finance many models without interest or deposit."

Go fishing with Land Rover

The triumphant hand holding the salmon adds a serious level of goofiness to what might have been your regular old "get out there in your big SUV" ad.

Toyota Camry SE - Toyota Camry Thrill Ride - (2013) :60 (USA)

A Toyota Camry. Not the most exciting automobile, is it? Well you're wrong, at least that's what I gather from this demonstration idea that turned a short drive in a Camry into a roller coaster type ride worthy of Magic Mountain. People are thrilled to be swooshing up, down, sideways and in - oh my - reverse. Looks like it was a fun ride with a "professional driver, do not attempt", but better still are the genuinely squee-surprised reactions from people who did not expect this. Everybody say weee!

Porsche - "Away" - China

In this campaign from Porsche China, called "Away" and created by Fred & Farid Shanghai the visual barely even shows the car, because it's too quick to drive away. This campaign was awarded at Grand Prix Stratégies Amaury Medias Du Luxe 2013.

Interstate Batteries are outrageously dependable.

How dependable is Interstate Batteries? Outrageously dependable. I had no idea Santa Claus was considered dependable, so much as "guy who works once a year." Any port in an analogy storm, I guess.

Kia Soul - Hamster makeover / Lady Gaga "Applause" - (2013) :90 (USA)

It's sleeker, sexier and more sophisticated than ever. The symbioses between pop artists new releases and car models trying to revamp their image... Lady Gaga was shopping around "Applause" to anyone who wanted it, because we all know that the commercial break is the new Billboard, and her famous name is the new youtube clickbait. Don't expect the combination to make any sense.

VW Beetle Cabrio: Father & Sun

Feeling all retro, this ad is like the pale dusty palette of the late 60s. If you squint for a second you might even believe it's an original Volkswagen ad. Then you realize it's the new beetle, and a cab to boot.

Ford Focus gives you three reasons to go against the flow.

This ad is so silly, I love it. Also it's great because the ad is using the Focus as a signature, not as a Giant Ass Display. Maybe they can get away with it because the dealers don't have as much sway in Israel as they do in the States.
