Amnesty - Russian Bullet
"We must not let Russia’s charm hide its atrocities."
In 2010, while the French government celebrates Russia across the country, the human
rights question is kept silent. Censorship, racism, murders, forced disappearances…
all still occur frequently in Russia.

Twentythree+Bogusky - hijacking Bogusky's facebook page, and made him a partner
Remember when we told you that Twentythree hijacked Alex Bogusky's face book fan page and held it hostage back in march? Twentythree's demands were cheap, but sneaky: [heavy Israeli accent] You will buy one share of our company for 1$.[/heavy Israeli accent]
Alex ain't no fool, he knew what this meant but thought the idea so funny - and cheap "what did it cost, like a nickle?" that he willingly bought a share for a buck and thus gave birth to the Israeli agency that can claim that Alex Bogusky is their partner.
Now the agency is sending this case to the Cannes Lions awards. It would be hilarious if an idea that cost a nickle (and six months of preparation, since they created that Alex Bogusky fan page long before the "hijack") won something. Hilarious in the painful way.
I asked TwentyThree so you made the Alex fan page 6 months earlier? Were you planning to launch this way all along?
Twentythree (whom you can follow @23Live on twitter): the answer is yes + yes.
We've launched the page early September last year and that was the plan all along.
AdBands 6 - Sorry (Rock star)
This poor poor creative wakes up one morning to find that he's jammed in his bed between lots of scantily clad ladies. He proceeds to wash his face, only to gain makeup. He sullenly walks to work in ass-showing leather chaps. This is what happens when you're a rock star!
Every year, for the past five years, the Toronto advertising community puts on AdBands – yep, a night of music featuring bands made up of people in advertising. Imagine that – people in advertising behaving like rock stars (cough). To promote AdBands 6, being held Thursday, June 17th, john st. and Radke Films director Craig Brownrigg made this hilarious spot.
All proceeds from AdBands 6 go to The Tennyson Quance Foundation for Autism.
Shaq pitches digital content ideas to the DCNF 2010
Shaq’s been doing a lot of thinking about how he can spread his brand online. So much that when he pitches his ideas to Digitas’ upcoming third annual Digital Content NewFront event he basically takes over the entire ad and you'll forget what it's really about. Shaqtastic indeed.
The event is taking place on Wednesday, June 9 at the Skylight Soho from 12-6pm. This year’s agenda includes innovators and new players with business models who will be joined by some familiar faces: Teri Hatcher, Pete Wentz, Arianna Huffington, Jason Priestly, Kevin Pollak, Howard Friedman (SVP, Kraft), Ben Silverman, Seth Green and Amy Brenneman.
Diamond Bling & 22-karat Gold Billboard
Diamond Billboard:
Vancouver’s Rethink glued 9,000 dazzling glass “diamonds” to a billboard to promote Science World’s Treasure! exhibit, and to dramatize this fact: compared to most other gems, diamonds aren’t all that rare.
Gold Billboard:
Vancouver’s Rethink wrapped a billboard in 22 k gold to promote Science World’s Treasure! exhibit, and to dramatize this fact: 2 oz of gold can be hammered so thin it covers 200 square feet.
Gautrain - Wind - (2010) - South Africa
The commercial starts a shot of various people standing waiting. We start with a light breeze that blows their hair and ruffles their clothing. The wind then picks up force to become a stronger wind and eventually a gale as we witness the people interacting and playing with this wind. Just as suddenly as it began, the wind drops and we cut to a shot of the high-speed Gautrain rushing by, indicating that it was in fact the train causing this wind.

AFFC - Marcelo Bielsa as saint / Light Him a Candle
The Soccer Fans Association of Chile (Asociación de Fanáticos del Fútbol Chileno, AFFC) are calling upon football fans to light a candle for Chilean football team coach, Marcelo Bielsa in a bid for his canonisation.
The making Bielsa Chile’s first football saint depends on him performing three miracles. The first – qualifying for the World Cup – has already happened. The second miracle will be realised if Chile makes it to the second round and the third miracle will be achieved if Chile go on to do the unthinkable and win the South Africa 2010 World Cup.
Language school creates subtitle system... for radio!
Here's a very clever idea from LEW'LARA\TBWA. In Brazil TV has subtitles, but the radio stations that play English Languages music, does not. Realizing an opportunity Cultura Inglesa language school and LEW'LARA\TBWA set about creating what must be the first subtitled radio station.
Very very clever. I like it.

Aren't these kids adorable? Give a bunch of school kids in my hood brushes and blue paint and the whole town would likely end up blue.

International spy museum poster disguises itself as you walk past it
Hello COOL. Finally I see an execution using a motion sensitive screen that makes complete sense for the client, and is cool to boot. I'd be playing with this, but also the idea is really so simple one doesn't need to play with it to get the message. In the world of espionage nothing is what it seems. An umbrella is a gun, a pen is a microphone and those unassuming people around you might be informants. Red Tettemer created this for the International Spy Museum in Washington DC.
As pedestrians pass the unit, it detects their motion and transforms the clean-cut gentleman into three elaborate disguises: a longhaired drifter, an Indian woman and a well-aged senior citizen.
Watford Creative Advertising Course - George and Fred - (2010) (UK)
'George and Fred' is the story of an aged student creative team and their ongoing attempts to get a placement and secure their first job in advertising. The viral, shot by comedy and performance director Andy Welch includes a fruitless book critique with Graham Fink at M&C Saatchi’s Golden Square HQ followed by the line ‘Time to go to Watford?’
