Guardian - Three little pigs - (2012)

"Three little pigs" shows Guardian's open journalism and how the story unfolds from the front page headline in print to the comments online. A story well told, I'll bet you've never seen the three little pigs like this before.

Getting the full story, seeing the full picture has been the proposition for the Guardian since the dawn of their advertising campaign. Remember "Points of view" from 1986? Still brilliant.

Is this guy a VO, the obsessed copywriter, or the client? I reckon it's the latter.

Luckily, obsession has its place at the 2012 Dallas ADDY's.

Its funny because it's true. At least for the people who can't remember their napkin-notes. Can't have been that good of an idea then. ;)

Dad spends too long and many swear words lecturing kid for drawing on the wall, even spelling doom that his terrible kerning will make him end up as a copywriter. Because pitting one discipline against the other in advertising is always fun.

Poor grammar. We see it every day. In facebook posts, in emails, in memos... and graffiti tags on the street. Created by Y&R Chicago these print ads drive to a blog where people can post their own found mis-tags, as well as donate money to an urban language and grammar school.

and you know I only posted it because I thought "Biatch" was great. :P

AM Collective - With Love, AM - Valentine's street art (2012)

Posted by dabitch on 14. February 2012 - 15:44

The AM Collective (on twitter @AM_Collective ) decided to spread some love in Shoreditch this year by painting an anatomic heart and lots of little pink and red broken and whole hearts all over it on the wall of Village Underground yesterday. They then asked the punters and passers by to write messages in the hearts, expressing their love "or lack thereof".

Punters are encouraged to pick a particular heart to write within them, and slowly the piece becomes a fragmented book of many stories – almost like a cubicle toilet but a tad more romantic. Just like our beloved Shoreditch.

Happy Valentine's to you too.

"Things we're getting even more interesting, and I'm not just talking about the conversation. I beg your pardon? That's why you locked yourself in the bathroom? That's what you do when things get more interesting? Do you do this when you watch a movie that's not so good, and then, suddenly, there's a twist and it gets better?"

I'd be climbing out of that bathroom window to get away from motormouth here, personally, but hey different strokes.

Ice Cube drives Inglewood blvd. describing the Los Angeles that he knows. He talks of landmarks like The Forum, Five Torches, Cockatoo Inn, Brolly Hut, and Watts Towers. He refers to the 110 as "Gangsta Highway". Cube says coming from South Central LA teaches you how to be resourceful. The video cuts to Cube walking the Eames House perimeter, through the Eames living room, and sitting in the Eames lounge chair. He brings us back to his NWA years when he studied architectural drafting before launching his rap career. One thing he learned that translates is to always have a plan. Cube describes the modern, green and resourceful building design of Charles and Ray Eames. Visionaries of connecting nature and structure. Cube ends by saying "Who are these people who got a problem with LA?
