Madden 25: Running Back Sons - (2013) :90 (USA)

Madden 25: Running Back Sons - (2013) :90 (USA)

Making it to the NFL takes a lot of hard work. Every ounce of athletic talent has to be matched by years in the weight room and on the field if they are to make it to the big time.

Anomaly Amsterdam creates its first integrated campaign for FOX

Welcome to Dutchland is a teaser campaign that uses the old fish out of water sight gag with characters from Fox's hit movies and shows.

Walking Dead is my favorite because it makes a comment on the "coffee house culture," too. Silly stoners.

Black Sabbath Returns. Wild posters / Street posters, Denmark

So Black Sabbath returned with a fresh new album, after being off the album making scene for so many years I can't even be bothered to look it up. How do you advertise the return of a musical artist that everyone remembers from their youth (provided they had been born then)?

Rock Paper Photo highlights music.

Live Nation isn't just a money-grubbing big concert promoter and near monopoly thanks to a merger with Ticketmaster. They're not just a monolith ready to gouge the common man with outrageous service fees.

No, they also own Rock Paper Photo, which is the largest archive of rock and roll photographs out there. Because why not have the entire empire, right?

Anyway, Sausilto-based Division of Labor created these posters for Rock Paper Photo, that hang in concert venues. Because Live Nation is happy to get your cash through any means.

As for the posters? It'd be different if the lines spoke to the photography but they don't.
They come across more like ads for Jay-Z, the Chili Peppers, and Steven Tyler.

PBS - Fake Reality Shows posters

"Married to a MIME - she's got plenty to say" and "Knitting WARS - it's sew on" are but two of the mock reality shows that PBS show as examples of what other channels do. Bayou Eskimos "Their life is headed south", The Dillionarie "Life's a pickle" and Bad Bad Bag Boys "Cleanup on every aisle" take the campaign to ludicrous.

The Vein "Magma" (2013) 1:30 (U.S.A.)

This is a music video for the Vein but it's also an art piece comissioned by Adobe to highlight their new Creative Suite. It's kinda trippy.

UOL 89FM creates Rock Snooze app

Brazilian radio station UOL 89FM has been sleeping for six years. But now they're back. And with the help of death metal band Sepultura's leader Andreas Kisser they want you to wake the eff up. And they have just the app to make you do it.

Rock Snooze is simple: your alarm goes off, and you hear Andreas laying down a bone crunching riff. If you dare hit the snooze button, next time the alarm goes off, Andreas makes it louder. And so on.

So far, it's working well. Not to mention the fact people are tuning back in to UOL 89FM. Which is awesome. I can think of no better way to wake up than with Kisser's guitar shredding my eyes open every morning.

The New York Lottery gets creepy for Mother's Day

Just in time for Mother's Day, these fun and only slightly creepy print/OOH boards celebrate the New York Lottery's Mother's Day Scratch Off Game.

I wonder what you win? How about a night away from those kids, they are working my last nerve? Or maybe, grandma watches the kids so me and daddy can do the stuff that got us the kids int he first place?

Iggy Pop - Ready to die / Record label problems - (2013)

Iggy Pop is hilarious and rules the world. So does Fat Possum records. For hardcore music geeks like me, you had me at "new Stooges album," especially since the last one came out 40 years ago.
