Georgia Natural Gas - Savings to live your life - (2012) :30 (USA)
The new “Savings to Live Your Life” campaign launch also marks the debut of ASO’s new creative direction for the natural-gas provider that highlights how GNG’s simple plans and simple savings allow customers to spend time doing what they enjoy most – living. The broadcast and online ads’ soundtrack is the 1989 hit song “Bust A Move” by Young MC.
“We’ve worked closely with Georgia Natural Gas to create this campaign,” said Patrick Scullin, creative director of Ames Scullin O’Haire. “The work was informed by research that showed people did not want to spend a lot of time thinking about natural gas. They are looking for a trustworthy provider with easy savings. Our message is simple–– because you want to live your life, GNG makes saving on dependable service easy.”

Crate&Barrel - Mark & Katie - (2012) :30 (USA)
This is the textual story of how Mark & Katie became Mark&Katie and then went shopping at Crate&Barrel because they are as Boring&Predictable as their dating story is.
See also Friendsgiving and Grandpa&Grandma which are equally Bland&Arid.
I actually had to ask someone what Crate&Barrel sells because all this tells me is that they have a lot of "&"'s. Is it like Bed Bath & Beyond, or IKEA? Does it look good? I suspect its as bland as the ads, am I right?
La-Z-Boy - Big Deal/Anniversary - (2012) :30 (US)
Santa Monica, Calif., Aug. 22, 2012 - La-Z-Boy is joining forces once again with actress Brooke Shields to continue its national "Live Life Comfortably" campaign. The strategy of the campaign is to showcase La-Z-Boy's wide range of furniture beyond its legendary recliner. Since the campaign featuring Shields was launched in November 2010, La-Z-Boy has experienced seven quarters of year over year same store sales growth in their La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries system. The campaign has been identified as one of the key factors in these results.
Procter & Gamble's mobile banner ad will text your mum a thank you
Kirowski Isobar Budapest created a mobile ad that read "Three words we don't say enough: 'Thank you mom'", and when you tapped on it, it searched your phone for "mom, "mother", "Mum" and other variations to set up a text message to the lovely lady listed as your mom on your phone. Pretty clever, since so many people have mom listed as just that on their phone, though it would never work in mine where she's listed under "travel agent" with "guilt trips" as her speciality. P&G might be a bit cheeky here, as it reminds you to talk to your mom, but we can't say it's off-brief.
Stanley Steemer: Executive Carpet. (2012) :30 (USA)
Did you know it's election season? Wait what? I know, right? I didn't either! Thankfully, lots of clients are ready to jump on that bandwagon. And this is from the great uniter and carpet cleaner, Stanley Steemer, who is here to give us with a timely message. "This year no matter who you choose, choose Stanley Steemer." And in the context of the "oval office," and someone who may or may not be the President, we can assume they are cleaning up something more dirty than the carpet. Geddit? Narf narf narf.
And I'm sure they didn't mean to, but judging by the recent antics of the secret service this year, this spot's even more ironic.
Downy Infusions - Memorable Day / Old spice guy - (2012) :30 (USA)
Grey are pretty clever here, putting Isiah Mustafa a.k.a Old Spice guy in the scented laundry stuff category. He is only there to hit on the girl though. P&G own both brands and we all know that the target of fabric softener ads will love this so hey, win win!
Bounty - Let The Spills Begin (London 2012 Olympic Games) - (2012) :60 (USA)
All the young hopefuls here grow up in very stylish homes... where anything that can spill is close at hand. Here's to you, dear parent, who winces every time you see that filled to the brim glass on that table shake.
Ikea - A world without textiles - (2012) 2:00 (USA)
Imagine a world without textiles. A place where comfortable pillows are replaced with tree stumps. Where curtains are made of sheet metal, rugs are made of sand, and sofas are made of cacti. That’s a hard world.
To celebrate a year of softness from IKEA, the fun and fluffy parts, the colorful and comfortable parts, McCann New York presents “A World Without Textiles,” a two-minute web film that shows just how hard life would be without textiles and how, with IKEA, “a little bit of softness can change your world.”
The film is the first IKEA work to come out of the agency since the Swedish retailer named McCann global agency of record for the catalogue last August.
