There's something very, very wrong with this spot. Lessee... A trio of wandering island minstrels pop up mysteriously outside a housewife's kitchen window, demonstrate their servitude by cleaning her sink, then happily dance off around the corner to... go visit Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben? Methinks this was conceived by an ofay creative team at Honky Honky and Honky - catchy little ditty though.

well, there was a daytime run schedule for it in June 02 - when it was originally made is probably only known by the plantation master and the crew
Yeah thats the thing. At what point exactly do old stereotypes become real offensive? Maybe they would have done better with Ricky Ricardo and band as he is an "icon". Then again, the stereotypes of men that can't get thier own children into a car (because that is Mom's job) - are just as stereotypical . Or men holding womens purses in the mall. or (insert a hundred other common stereotypes here).
on the islands, you'll probably find a band or two this groovy (in 1966), it's just rare outside your window.
... and now I'm craving conk salad. Bad result of ad, since they should be selling some cleaner. .. Mmm.. fresh conk salad.... yum...
