The film is about a husband who enjoys driving his New Pajero Sport VGT so much he chooses to take the long way so he can spend more time behind the wheel. In this scenario, he uses a grocery run his wife has sent him on to have some fun. then back home for the twist where a forgotten item is added to the list and he happily gets to continue his journey again, “long is the only way home”.
The script was created by McCann Erickson Malaysia for Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia to announce the arrival of the new Pajero Sport VGT, a higher-powered version of their existing Pajero Sport seven-seat SUV. The Pajero Sport VGT is powered by a 2.5-litre DI-D common rail diesel engine, with Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). The new Pajero Sport VGT also features a 2-DIN Kenwood touch screen head unit with GPS, cruise control and paddleshift control.
We shot the commercial over two days around KL, on 16mm film (ARRIFLEX 416 Plus HS). The lenses.. Primarily, we were using Angenieux T2.8 24-290mm Optimo Zoom with a Optex 2x Extender.. On and off, we were using 35mm format Zeiss Superspeeds T1.3 set - 18,25,35,50&85mm with occasional 16mm format Zeiss Ultra16 T1.3 6mm prime. Stock was Kodak 7213 Vision III 200T throughout and the house ext was 7219 Vision III 500T... (tks Haruld for the lens and stock update)
