Ikea - Facebook Tag / Ikea Showroom - (2009) 1:35 (Sweden)

Ikea - Facebook Tag / Ikea Showroom - (2009) 1:35 (Sweden)

Ikea Malmö (yeah, that's my town) moved from their old boring building in the outskirts to a shiny new one near the Svågertorp train station. The new Ikea is much larger, recycles everything, and uses only green electricity to boot in order to become the first Ikea with the smallest carbon footprint. In order to attract people to Ikea, ad agency Forsman and Bodenfors decided to advertise where the Swedes hang out all day. In a word: facebook.

METHOD People Against Dirty - Shiny Suds - (2009) :70 (USA)

Shiny Suds are a not so subtle nod at the famous Scrubbing Bubbles (which I loved as a kid but never managed to convince my mother to buy as she used other cleaning products), used as perverted peeping spokesbubbles for Peo

Eichborn - Banners on flies (for real) - ambient, Germany

Jung von Matt just invented flyvertising. At the recent Frankfurt book convention they attached banners to 200 flies and set them loose to do their jobs as miniature sky ads around the convention center. In German, it's called a Fliegenbanner. Fliegenbanner, what a silly word.

No flies were harmed during this stunt. But a lot of people laughed.

D&AD Creative Search demo video

Four students launches D&AD Creative Search as a tool for other students during the D&AD Students Award 2010.
The Internet has a huge role in the everyday life of creatives. We use services such as Google, Wikipedia, YouTube, Twitter, blogs and news sites are something that we use everyday.
It’s very easy to become overwhelmed with information when we perform a simple search on a new subject. This demands more mental activity than necessary in order to sort the results.
D&AD Creative Search sifts through results from the major services we all have daily contact with. You get a simple, flexible, and structured overview of your search.
The results can provide new angles as you see the subject yield images, texts, films and music in the same place.

Volkswagen / Rolighetsteorin / The Fun theory - Piano - (2009) 1:47 (Sweden)

In this episode of science project as advertising, Volkswagen turned the stairs at Odenplan subway station in to a piano stairs, which emits notes as you step on it. Suddenly it becomes a lot more fun than the old escalator and people used the stairs more often.

http://www.rolighetsteorin.se/en/ Is a site launched by DDB Stockholm for Volkswagen. The idea is that something that is made fun to do, is the easiest way to change people’s behavior for the better.

You know who else has a stair-piano? The Boston Science Museum.
