RID, the Australian insect repellent, is getting a bit of a refresh of its brand with this promotional campaign. They are looking for one Aussie out there crazy enough to go into the depths of the Amazon wearing nothing but their skivvies and some RiD insect repellent. Believe it or not, this is how RID's inventor, Doug Thorley, managed to get the concoction of repellent and antiseptic ingredients just right. And that was way back in 1956.
The winner of this challenge will meet 2.5 million insect species as well as a number of challenges made for sharing on social media over five days.
Justin Lyon, who was Steve Irwin's filmmaker, will document it all, including your trip to the hospital for Dengue Fever and subsequent lawsuit. Just kidding! I'm sure the clients at RID have the good sense to make you sign a waiver.
