Transparent and Mother London send film culture classics back to the 60's . :" The brief was very clear: The films had to have a strong cinematic look, which would appeal to film buffs, the wider public and those who have come to expect something special from Stella Artois."

Not a problem when there's a budget available, but an enormous challenge when there is very little to draw on. Nevertheless, Mother's enthusiasm was infectious and we fell in love with the project.
We shot the films in an old, faded seaside resort in Uruguay, which we turned into an "authentic" looking 1960 French Riviera.
Researching the project was great fun and very collaborative and finding the little details which parody the originals, helped make the films special. Mother's CD Augusto Sousa was full of praise for the art department:
