As the droids and Iron Man fight it out, turning over cars and setting everything ablaze a la Hollywood - our hero knows what to do and he gives orders to everyone in how to get things done on their new LG smart phones - including downloading the rescue music. Shame he put Jen on that task, she's really not good at it.
The Intro ad for the T-Hub thingiemahbobwidget. What is it? All I know is that Alexander Graham Bell is jealous.
The steampunkish head, kept in a jar a la "Futurama" is still gnashing his teeth regarding this widget-thingiemah-bob.
For the first time in Greece, a prepaid card offers free airtime to speak & connect with people from other networks, so in our ad we've depicted a world without borders. "Best things happen when you are open to the world" our key main message.
Looks like the earlier ad from Tele2 this month, where one of Frank the sheep's colleagues is kidnapped has given the rival agencies and phone companies some ideas. In this ad Tre.se 'kidnap' the idea of black sheep, and have "Frank" parade into the the competitions shop to get his hands on the Nokia 7230, which is currently only available at 3 stores.
Another ad wants to do the Honda Cog Rube Goldberg machine-thing, set in a gray warehouse much like in the film "The Way Things Go" (Der Lauf der Dinge). Will Google get sued by Peter Fischli and David Weiss like Honda did? Naah. I suppose a new trend of these types of ads will start again now, who will be the first to beat Guinness tipping point in budget?
Canvas, Cape town and GreatOdds.co.za demonstrate "beating the odds" with a family of redheads. This red headed family of nine has one baby with black hair, but really, the odds of two parents with the mutated MC1R gene to have a redheaded child is actually 1 in 4. (Note that blondes and brunettes can have the mutated MC1R gene.)
The creativly clever camerawork strikes again as our hero the redheaded gal tries to figure out who to pick to be her "magic number" friend on Orange. She spins the bottle and wants Steve. Pick Steve! Even if your child-self is giving you a raspberry through the mirror. Brilliant.
"More from Orange" - http://more-from.orange.co.uk - has free cinema tickets on wednesdays, the question is who do you bring? Fallon London show one mans considerations with a dizzyingly clever cameratrickin' edit. Loverly!
If ONLY online poker was more like underground mexican wrestling in crowded basements hiding away from the fuzz, with added kickass midget teams, and less like a bunch of dweebs sitting around by their lonesome computers at all hours trying to win back their rent money. Nevermind trying to make it glamourous as so many online poker sites try to do, Betclic has got one thing right, online poker is deadly serious, has silly beards, and smells of panicked sweat.
Microsoft takes on Google with this UK ad, where they show what information overload has done to us all. Bing is positioning itself as the"decision engine". This ad launches a campaign today, that Microsoft is backing with $2bn in media and creative.
"This is a big moment – we are taking out our slingshots and taking on Goliath," said the managing director and vice-president of consumer and online at Microsoft UK, Ashley Highfield, adding that he believed Bing met a real desire from both consumers and advertisers.
