This video should of had sound not music designed for it. Makes me sad to think that all the effort that went into this advert to end up with (nice) music that's been around for a long time. Spoils the originality IMO.

Effort indeed - I wonder how many pineapples they exploded before they got one shot that looked good. (and how they exploded these fruits and berries - it's mesmerizing.)

Yeah I agree Dabitch. I don't see many that stand out but this - wooooo!

I missed this ad, yes the commercial is ten million times better than the posters.

Is it me or can you not view the video on here (I saw it on the TV before) ? I'm using a MAC with Firefox. TY.

Dabitch's picture

Hmm, must be your machine. The fastest fix is usually to download and install quicktime again (even if you have it) as there may be mapping problems where firefox doesn't "get" that you have quicktime. Unless there's some "ad blocker" you use preventing the ad from being shown in which case you simply need to whitelist adland. (more troubleshooting ideas are in the FAQ)

TY very much. I'll try all of the above.

At my office I have a PC (and no flash damn the IT department!) and at home I have an old mac and I've never had any problems viewing ads over the years here. What do you guys get instead of the commercial?

Dabitch's picture

I saw the white screen phenomena a while back when I had some ancient quicktime installed instead of a fresh one (took the wrong program from a backup CD). On PC's that usually shows up as a "missing media player" triangle-circle-square thing. On macs you can end up with a white screen and sound instead which is pretty weird.

A white blank space...

MAC 0SX Old QT of which I'm updating now ;) Found out that I now need 10.4.9 Be back in half hour. Thanks for your help.

Dabitch's picture

Oh yeah, that's a missing component in quicktime, get a fresh install and you should be all set.

And...

...It now works.

TY for your advise!
