Anti-trafficking MTV Exit global campaign - "Simple Plan" / This Song Saved My Life

Curious Film’s Ash Boland has recently completed directing an integrated film project for the MTV Exit Foundation (USAID, AUSAID & Walk Free). The project will reach more than half a billion households worldwide and will further global awareness of human trafficking and child exploitation.

The project launches this week with the premiere of a video, ‘This Song Saved My Life’, for chart-topping Canadian rock band Simple Plan, who crowd-sourced the lyrics from fans on Twitter as part of the campaign concept.

ISPCC - I Can't wait until I grow up - (2011)

The ISPCC have found a young boy worthy of some sort of commercial-acting Oscar. He delivers the message while being punched to the ground by his father. "But beating children is illegal in Ireland", you might say, and you're right. But the problem is, family rights (as a unit) outweigh children's rights (as individuals), and young children in the care of abusive parents can't wait for this to change. Young boys like this one can not seek social work or child protection support without parental consent. You can change this before he grows up.

Barnardo's - Turn Around - (2009) :60 (UK)

Barnado's were never about cozy safe advertising (remember the syringes in babies mouths?), but with this one they use a seemingly simple trick of voice-over to change the entire meaning of the visuals, encouraging you the viewer to help turn things around for street kids everywhere.
Directed by Chris Palmer at Gorgeous and created by BBH, the "Turn around" idea resonates, her despair can be changed, you can turn it around.
