Microsoft - Outlook.com - Get going (2013) (USA)

Microsoft relaunches outlook, now as a webmail with features like sweep. This ad may be a tad outrageous with the delivery-man turned stunt man, and everyone connecting left and right to boot - but it does show off the features quite nicely and makes Outlook look quite attractive.

Twitter - Pieces / #Nascar - (2012) :20 (USA)

This very first Twitter TV ad is all about selling the hashtag rather than Twitter itself which countless media-mentions has already told you exists. The new revamped hashtag pages are channels that collect all the properly branded tweets within a topic. hands up if anyone else here remembers AOL keywords? This feels much the same....

KONE - Safety escalator - The little details - (2012) :30 (Finland)

KONE make elevators and escalators and they know full well that most accidents in either are caused by people ignoring the tiny things that cause them. "Finnish elevator company KONE wanted to make a safety campaign about this issue - both internal and external. How do we communicate that without being condescending or preachy?" All I can say after turning into everyones insta-baby-sitter around all escalator is preach on, because by am I ever sick of people not watching their kids, or the tiny things like shoelaces and long flowing dresses as they embark on an escalator ride.

TAC Transport Accident Commission - Everybody Hurts 20th anniversary ad - (2009) 3:00 (Australia)

Adfreak has me ruining my mascara Monday morning by pointing out "Australia celebrates brutal road-safety PSAs". TAC has a way of pushing every button I've got, and this one adds Michael Snipe crooning "Everybody hurts" which only floods my tear canals even more.

This ad was created to reminded all Victorians of their responsibility to drive safely, as TAC marked 20 years of road safety campaigns and drivers across the state switched their headlights on for road safety. The ad is a composite of the previous 20 years ads, each one a jarring tearjerker in its own right. For extra impact they air this ad across all networks, there is no escape.

Bovril - Biker / Bad Day - (1992) :30 (UK)

The Bovril biker dude is having an exceptionally bad day, where everything and then some goes wrong. All of it is set to Elvis crooning "The wonder is you", and the wonder is that thick beef bouillon served hot in a tea-cup which was the drink of choice before mad cow disease scared Bovril's marketing budget so wee they stopped advertising on telly.
