FrutoNyanya "How" (2012) :20 (Russia)
This one was cute. They didn't make the baby the butt of the joke, or do anything stupid. The father comes across as honest, and it also says a lot about our adult diets. Well casted, too. Nice one, BBDO Moscow..
Bank of America - Portraits - (2013) :60 (USA)
"Before they sat down, one more time, just for themselves..." This BOA commercial tells the story of a family, and all the ups and downs they have gone through, backwards in time through family portraits. It's a very interesting way of peeking into a large families life, and perfectly art directed fashion era references will push recognition buttons in nearly everyone. The small moments of acting a much larger story are great too, like the mothers glare after Brad's "brief brush with the law".
"We know we're not the center of your life" says Bank Of America, who probably lent this family the money to buy the house with the fireplace we see in every photo....."But we'll do ur best to help you connect to what is."
Volkswagen / VW Jetta - Baby - (2013) :30 (USA)
If you are going to have your life flash before your eyes... Wow, that was quick. Then again a baby hasn't been around much.
Taco Bell "Grande Papi" (2013) :30 (U.S.A.)
Synopsis: man discovers women like babies. Taco Bell continues its quest to make its food seem more palatable to adults (as opposed to stoners, and college kids and stoners in college) with this "Grande Papi," spot. I kept waiting for the moment the dad was gonna spill the burrito on the baby but apparently he has it on lock.

A mom and her son doing crafts in a hospital playroom in between his treatments.
Genea - Sydney IVF is "reborn" as Genea with a real birth in their commercial
Unlike the self-promo "Getting into Mother", this birth filmed is tastefully edited and quite beautiful. If only all birthing sessions were over in one minute, amiright ladies?
The background: Sydney IVF are rebranding to be Genea, so it makes sense they'd be "reborn" in their ad as well. This ad will air on Australian TV after nine pm.
The mother in the ad had three previous uncomplicated births and agreed to be filmed during this one, Zia built a rapport with the father, mother and mid-wife and flew to New Zealand a few days before her due date to be able to witness the birth with camera.
Allan Grey - Time Flies / Child grows - (2011) :90 (South Africa)
Way to get me all weepy eyed, Allan Grey. This story will go straight to the heart of most parents. As a child, all you want is to grow, be older and wiser, as a parent, all you want is to cherish every moment. Truth well told.
You don't need to understand Afrikaans to understand the story. The mother at the start tells her daughter to that it's just five more sleepies until the big day. The daughter, impatient with counting wishes herself to next week and her birthday. She continues using her gift to fast-forward her life to ride big kid rides at the amusement park, to marry the boy of her dreams, to land that dream job. To skip the whole pregnancy and see the moment of her own daughters birth....

Centerpartiet - Dreams / Future plans - valfilm 2010
"Centerpartiet" is as the name alludes the center party n Sweden's political landscape. They align with the conservatives, and just like them promise more jobs, but in a far more sarcastic fashion. Here we see how a newborns mother explains her plans for her child: "I was thinking he could go to nightschool". A girl in first grade explains "when I grow up, I'm going to be uninsured", a young boy at soccer practice gets asked if wants to go pro: "No, I'm going to go on the dole, like Daddy".
A tutor asks her student: What are your plans after school, and the student responds, "I'd really like to jump from internship to internship....." Students in their traditional hats party, yelling "one more month, then we'll be in temporary job measures!

McDonald's - Baby - (2010) :60
Because I have reached the age where I am now an official sucker for babies (this doesn't happen at a specific age, this happens once you have them - just ask my ex-copywriter who had kids ten years before me and wore a sucker-smile at any decent baby ad while I rolled my eyes at him) I am going to ignore the waste of petrol in dads constant circling around the McDonald's here. Dad has a sleeping baby in the back, and really wants breakfast but if he stops the car, the baby will wake. McDonald's morning crew catch on to his dilemma and manage to get him his McMuffin - yeay. No telling what dad will do if he finds a red light or a stop sign along the way. I'm ignoring that too.
