Sniff Responsibly
To announce our 2nd edition of scratch n sniff direct mail promos for our photographers, we wanted to do a short teaser video acknowledging that we know creatives in agencies & design firms get alot of direct mail, some of which is useful but mostly ends up in the can. To play on the "sniff" part of the cards, we wanted a funny visual that would elicit a few laughs & hopefully keep the recipients on the lookout for the cards in their mailboxes. All done in jest, this in no way implies that creatives get inspiration from plants. :-)
Response has been great, it was featured by photo editor Rob Haggert on aphotoeditor.com, & tweeted by Euro RSCG Chief Creative Officer Steffan Postaer. YouTube hits are over 4,000, keeping in mind this was marketed to creative professionals only.
Wimpy - Family / Funky Town - (2010) :45
Aaaah, the Jupiter Drawing room has figured out what a family of six can do with all those free wimpy-glasses they get with the many Valuelicious Meals they must have consumed. Deck out in horrific home-made 80's glamrock gear and play Funky Town. But of course.
Sony - Auto Tune the Panel / Auto-tune the ad - "Panel of experts"
Forget "auto tune the news" here Sony and 180 LA take it one step further, and auto-tune the ad. This was done by the auto-tune the news guys, as they edited stuff from the Sony Electronics 6-spot national “Panel of Experts” campaign together to make this mix.
Yellow Pages Group - Yellow Pages Mobile App - Misinterpreted, Oily, Photocrasher (2010) :30
The new Yellow Pages Mobile App helps anybody find a local answer for whatever they might be looking for. In these commercials we put the app through a torture test by showing how three very distinctive characters use it to keep their life running smoothly.
Axe - Cleans your Balls
Yes, that is Jamie Pressley cleaning balls in a mock infomercial.

2009 Gathering Of The Juggalos Infomercial (2009) 14:11 (USA)
We rarely posts infomercials here but some true gems need to be preserved for future ad-generations. This is one of them. I'm mesmerized, as DJ Clay and Sugar Slam host this informercial in all earnestness, saying things like 'motherfucking' in the most robotic way - Stephen Hawkings sounds more human -and using the special slang juggalos are known for ie: watch as ICP spray faygo all over. There will be free BBQ! First Aid stations! Showers! Stilt walkers! Helicopter rides! Seminars! No, wait did you say seminars?
Hey ICP, you got your wresting infomercial in my country fair infomercial. The result is so close to parody, SNL should take notes.

The ultimate accessory is the secret weapon. I used to wear large shiny engagement rings and wedding rings for exactly this reason, and sorry gals, as much as I love this product, ad, and idea, it really doesn't work. A swift kick in the nuts usually does the trick though. ;)

Tool’s Routson and Colle+McVOY collaborated on this campaign that takes its cue from daytime soap drama like the bold & the beautiful.
Snapple Water - Bubble Wrap city - (2008) : 30 (USA)
Post-notes from Asylum:
While the foreground objects and talent were wrapped in real plastic, we enhanced the mid and background bubble world by wrapping buildings, traffic lights, streets and sidewalks in bubble wrap through a series of matte paintings and composites of photographic plates.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force / Adult Swim bomb scare press conference
Peter Berdovsky, 27, and Sean Stevens, 28, were held on $2,500 cash bond each after they pleaded not guilty to placing a hoax device and disorderly conduct for a device found at a Boston subway station on 2-1-07. See Adult Swim ATHF LED Billboards cause Havoc in Boston. The devices were illuminated signs intended to promote the cartoon show Aqua Teen Hunger Force. After their release on bond, they called this press conference. They spent all of it talking about hair through the ages.
