Captain D's "Webcam" (2013) :30 (U.S.A.)
They lose big points for the old "dumb guy" cliché. As well as the old "food is so tempting I see nothing else." Seriously. that's so old it's got hieroglyphics all over it.
However "I want to dip you in tartar sauce and eat you with a side of hush puppies," is a nice bit of perversion. So there's that.
SALT "Face The Red (2013) 8:15 (U.S.A.)
Dealing with student debt can be a horror. Thankfully, non-profit SALT is here to help. With a nifty little microsite, a ten thousand dollar give away (hope she didn't go to portfolio school as ten g's is a pittance) and some good advice for this girl.
Foster Farms "Interview" (2013) :30 (U.S.A.)
The Foster impostor chickens are on an interview. But since they aren't American Humane certified, are forced to run away, rather than take a drug test. What else do you need to know?
Trouw - Doubt - (2013) :30 (The Netherlands)
"Doubt. Without doubt there's be no discussion."
Dutch is a pragmatic sort of language, and I can 'hear' how this copy would sound a lot better in Dutch, making it all seem more profound. It's also interesting that it's the newspapers editors and journalists you see in the ad, and not stock photos of random models. “Most likely the very best newspaper in Holland” is the tagline Trouw has run with for years. yes, most likely, even the line doubts.
SUPGV.org - A Petition For Stronger Gun Laws / Office Shot - (2013)
Grey New York open their anti-gun campaign with this scenario: an older man is going postal in an office, but he's using a very old muskot and forgot to affix his bayonet to it so after one shot he has to stop and reload .... The point being that US gun laws are antiquated because apparently the 1994 federal assault weapons ban was a hundred years ago, and man now I feel older than usual, thanks for that. Why didn't this guy Ed use the gun powder for a bomb instead? He's got the gun powder, clearly. Oh, that's right, because Ed is a crazy person. They aren't very logical.
March Madness & New Coke Zero - It's not your fault - Brackets (2013) :30 (USA)
Brackets. They are important. You are not slacking. It is not your fault.
Orangina - Statistics / Cannon Ball - (2013) :50 (China)
The human cannonball shoots out of the entire circus tent and goes flying fast across the sky and cities a bit like that Xbox ad "champagne", which as you may recall firmly placed Fred&Farid the creative team on the map on international creatives. In this our furries are office workers once again, and they're drinking that naturally juicy stuff while their boss threatens to fire them all.
Back Yard Burgers "Chicken" (2013) :15 (U.S.A.)
Spicy.
Dunder Mifflin - Paper War With Cat (2013) :30 (USA)
Regional ad aired only in Scranton, PA during 3rd Quarter.
The brand worked with Tongal and got a bunch of fun ads that were evaluated by executives at Staples' Quill.com (which markets the brand) and the producers of The Office.
Created by a Florida man named Freddy Rabbath.
The ad that came closest to beating it for gameday was created by a guy named Frank Ponce. View it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6NBFnA9nc4.
Samsung Mobile USA - The Next Big Thing (2013) 1:20 (USA)
Featuring Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Bob Odenkirk and a cameo with LeBron James and directed by Jon Favreau. Rogen and Rudd are called in to pitch their ideas to Odenkirk about Samsung's Big Game ad for "The Next Big Thing."
Aired 4th quarter.
Volkswagen super bowl ad - Get Happy / Chill bossman - (2013) :60 (USA)
Enter Dave and his newfound sunny disposition, confusing the entire office as it manifest itself in a curious way. Yeah he be jamaican mon. It's apparently a side effect from driving poppy red VW beetles, mon. Tom Kuntz who directed the old spice ads shot this for Deutsch LA
Little Caesars - Office / Hot-N-Ready - (2013) :30 (USA)
Man enters offto announce the Little Caesars large, $5 HOT-N-READY pepperoni pizza and everyone cheers. Cheer so hard their glasses fall off and the copiers explode. Because thats a great deal in any language. 497420776f756c6420686176652065656e20626574746572206861642068652073706f6b656e206865782e.
Rio Creative Magazine - Little Thing - (2012) :30 (Brazil)
It's the little things really it is. In a scene we find a little too familiar, the bossman looks at the work and nods approvingly ... before clicking his pen to fix one little thing, and the sound of that pen is more like a bullet snapping through the air or a guillotin released. Like I said, we know the feeling too well.....
Created about a year ago, Rio Creative Magazine is a website that gathers the work of Rio de Janeiro's advertising agencies. In a partnership with Kombat Films and Silence Produções, they're launching their first campaign with a web film. The founders of the website Leandro Bechara, Marcelo Andrade and Pedro Drable teamed up with two other creatives, Oswaldo Sá and Daniel Herz.
Green Beaver Natural Toothpaste 'Office' - (2012) :15 (Canada)
Uncomfortable.
New York Lottery - If / Multiple arms - (2012) :30 (USA)
If you had multiple ideas, you might feel a bit skittles at some point. The multiple emotions face is pretty hilarious. That looks like it hurt. Perlorian brothers directed for DDB New York.
AAMCO - Trust - (2012) :30 (US)
If a fat, hairy, shirtless man showed up at your front door, would you trust him to come inside and hug your mother? Probably not, and you shouldn't trust just anyone with your car, either, as Backyard Productions makes clear in a hilarious spot promoting AAMCO's comprehensive car repair services. Director Rob Pritts teamed up with Qorvis Communications on this latest effort, just one among several collaborations between the two.
