King Kong 360 3-D ride at Universal Studios will scare the bejesus out of you

King Kong 360 3-D, opening at Universal Studios, Hollywood, on July 1, is the largest, most intense 3-D experience in the world. Created by Peter Jackson + WETA Digital, the famed director and creators of the 2005 King Kong re-make, the attraction has been described as “super Cinerama.”

Someone get me a ticket to Universal Studios stat, I haven't freaked out over a ride since I was on Snow white in Disneyworld when I was 4 years old. This looks like it oughta do it. Just have to stock up on adult diapers.

David&Goliath expertly use the reverse-film game to reveal the scary. Nicely done.

Dunlop Tyres - Extreme racing, backwards - (2010) :30

In the " Street Response challenge" crazy races test the limits of Dunlop Tyres. Racing in reverse down the looping car-parl levels looks quite spectacular.

But when you're an old cynical ad(wo)man like myself, you'll just note the tinted windows that hide the reverse-build inside the car, and yawn slightly as it's not as much fun when you know they're racing the right way around in backward built cars.

Still, racing is fun.

Before you call "badland" on this, since it's doing the reverse reading trick we've seen before, know that the creators call it "inspired by".... And yes, the fantastic turn around does the reversing thing except with images instead. It's also worth noting that this is a film meant for a sales meet, not an aired advert.
