Branded Culture on European Stamps

Branded Culture on European Stamps

Just read at European Stamps about a "sneaky" advertising on Dutch stamps.

“Stamp no. 20 (in the right corner below) features a little boy on a sleigh wearing shoes with the famous Adidas logo: three vertical, slanting stripes.”

PR? Proven advertising ROI? Just coincidence? Or maybe just Jung's collective unconscious in action? Mysteries.

Re: Branded Culture on European Stamps

I bet that little boy wouldn't be caught dead in shoes without the three stripes. ;)

Remember when the Converse all star spot was the most mimicked sneaker? I think part of the reason Adidas is getting this attention is that their logo is so easy to draw. Even the Nike swoosh is a tad too complicated for simplified illustrations, though it could be done I s'pose. :)
