Flo Gets Nice Profile, Horrible Photo
In more old news, The Washington Post ran a little profile of the woman half the adblogging community loves and some wackos hate, Progressive's Flo. Put me more in the former, but, seriously, what's with that accompanying photo of her pitching? That's why I uploaded one from the Progressive site ... well, that doesn't do her justice, either. Waitaminuite, the original Philadelphia Inquirer article has much nicer pic. Washington Post, why do you hate Flo?
A fluff piece but, some history, some quips, an unexpected Geico connection, a Mad Men appearance that I spotted, and a quote from a guy who used to write some advertising review column. And probably enough to fuel both camps as they continue the debate.
Full disclosure: when I changed states, Progressive offered much better rates than Geico. And during my little fender bender, they were awfully helpful.

Is that.... Why yes it is... Is that really one of the switchboard girls from mad men?
------> over here to the far right. That's her, right? Looks nothing like her with those glasses, really - but she does say she plays the one with glasses.
Yep. And that one in the middle is The Flight of the Conchords' super-fan Mel. I'm proof it's possible to waste way, way too much time at IMDb.
aah-aha-ha-ha! I totally didn't see it was "Mel". Funny.
