Hardees+KFC = a mouthful of Badland material?

Regular adgrunt TDD spies on these two commercials, wondering if they might qualify as a Badlandian pair. Well, they certainly are a mouthful.... what do you think? Regurgitation (ew) or coincidence?

Hadn't seen this yet. I hate the other recent KFC creative though. Matches the food. Bland, heatlamp-warmed creative with the mother talking about 'value' with fast-serve restaurant food.' Yeesh. Note to KFC, pull up your pants, your brief is showing.
