REDMOND, WA – McNett Corporation, the country’s leading manufacturer of care & repair products for the adventure sports category, has awarded its advertising/design account to Redmond-based Hammerquist & Nebeker. The decision was made following a competitive review of several top West coast firms. The review was conducted by Hitch, a Bellingham based search consultant. David Wiggs, president of Hitch was quick to point out “When it came down to the final decision, H&N’s deep category understanding won the day. H&N was a match, culturally, with McNett and combined with their outdoor expertise, the partnership was a great fit.”
According to Fred Hammerquist, president and creative director for the design agency, the work will begin with extensive brand positioning consulting followed with a new package design structure for a product launch at the Winter Outdoor Retailer trade show. Work begins immediately.
The strong adventure sports experience of Hammerquist & Nebeker earned the agency a spot in the final review, which included Sandstrom Partners and Struck/Axiom, both from Portland. The agency’s portfolio of experience includes brand development for companies such as Polartec, Precor, K2 Sports, Outdoor Research, The North Face, Ridley, Zipp and others.
“Because of our deep understanding of adventure sports we can offer companies the ability to authentically connect their brands to core consumers across a wide variety of new media,” said Hammerquist. “You see that in our work, and in the end, that knowledge – coupled with our strategic planning and interactive capabilities -- helped win the business.”
