Starbuck's workers show off their art
Posted by caffeinegoddess on 14. June 2005 - 14:55
Today at the Chelsea Art Museum on West 22nd Street in NYC, there will be an opening reception for Starbucks Avant Grande. It's an all-media art exhibit displaying the work of Starbucks employees. No word yet if the topic of all the art work has to do with coffee. ;-)

Hopefully the art is better than the poster.
Avant-grande. OUCH.
It just goes to show you how hard it is to make it as an artist these days...Can you imagine a young, poor Matisse slaving away making Frappucinos during the day, only to go home at night to paint renditions of the Starbucks logo that has been etched into his head?
