Due to the European expansion plans of independent wireless development community - AnywhereYouGo.com, we are now looking for a small/medium sized PR agency - with an office in Stockholm - to handle media/analyst/industry
relations for the Company.
Following the resounding success of its first independent Wireless Internet Lab in
London, AnywhereYouGo.com is now opening a Lab in Stockholm (September 2000) - to meet the huge demand for inde
pendent testing of wireless Internet services in this market.
Clients typically require a pan-European or global testing solution, and AnywhereYouGo.com is positioned to pro
vide the first real global solution - addressing complex interoperability issues across multiple gateways. Open
ing a Lab in Stockholm is the next strategic step in supporting the Company's European client-base. The Lab, he
aded up by Anders Byttner, an established wireless specialist and co-founder of the UK test Lab , will work on
interoperability issues for developers, wireless device manufacturers, content providers and wireless carriers
, including the way these relate to developing 2.5 and 3G technologies.
AnywhereYouGo.com's Wireless Internet Lab - the world's first independent testing Lab - opened for business in
London in May - testing wireless applications across multiple devices and gateways. This was complimented by t
he launch of a comprehensive online testing service available exclusively on the AnywhereYouGo.com site. The L
ab has attracted a great deal of attention, with leading technology, media and content companies 'signing up' f
or this unique testing service. AnywhereYouGo.com is also in discussion with interactive agencies looking for
long-term relationships. Additional Labs will open in the US and Asia/Pacific later this year.
AnywhereYouGo.com (www.anywhereYouGo.com) launched in the UK and USA in February this year. The site is the mo
st widely used independent resource dedicated to wireless application development - offering a range of service
s to the development community at large. This 'one stop' resource provides the latest news, tools, community,
newsletters, books, conferences, online testing and 'Labs' and, in August, he Company will launch the first Wir
eless Career Centre.
AnywhereYouGo.com has 45 employees based in Dallas and London, with additions to the management team expected i
n the near future. A second US office is due to open in San Francisco shortly, whilst the London office is rapidly expanding. The Company has just completed its first round of funding, securing $4million (US) from Brience and Internet.com.
Needlessly to say, all these exciting developments have secured strong, positive media coverage in the UK and US,
see link with analysts, such as Giga, approaching the Company direct to speak at their September conference on Mobile Computing Strategies in Copenhagen.
