Vivo - Walking Metamorphosis - (2014) 6:00 (Brazil)

Raul Seixas was a legendary musician, and this song is too. This clip is six minutes long, as it is the first ever music video for “Metamorfose Ambulante”. The song was composed 40 years ago today, but the story is placed somewhere ten thousand years ago.

No product has even been better. In 85 years. Take that, rest of society! Or something. I love how smug this woman is. I could do without nod to Facebook though.

To celebrate the World Cup, JWT Brazil launched Coke's mini bottles. 18 of them, featuring flags from all the countries who hosted the World Cup. The mini bottles originated back in the 80's and were a big collectible hit.

It's refreshing to see a breast cancer awareness ad that doesn't attempt to be funny. It's also a nice use of medium since it's free and public. Taking the tactic of humanizing and supporting a post-mastectomy body is a really nice tactic too.

I do wish they spent more time on the ads and less on the making of the ads. I would have liked to have seen the amount of sharing on social media that occurred too, as my own search didn't reveal much beyond the Ad publications and Ad peeps sharing it.

Spreading the word about breast cancer through graffiti

These aren't technically print ads. They were included with the press release for JWT's "Tinta Contra o Câncer" campaign for A.C.Camargo Cancer Center. But i think they're more powerful than the case study video which spends more time explaining the concept and less time showing the work.

Giovanni+Draftfcb are brilliant, and I do hope they bring these ads to Cannes and hand them out. For Nivea, they made a solar-power ad, so once you use your Nivea suncream, and the Nivea solar charging ad for your phone, you have no reason at all to go inside again. Smart!

DKT do Brasil - Sex QR code / Condom posters - Brazil

Soooo, people are spending too much time playing with their gadgets instead of each other (Really? This is a problem in Brazil?).. So DKT do Brasil responded by making QR codes sell condoms. File under posters sent straight to the award shows reject bins, though I will admit the bait&switch with the 8-bit QR code sex-scene is rather funny.

UOL 89FM creates Rock Snooze app

Brazilian radio station UOL 89FM has been sleeping for six years. But now they're back. And with the help of death metal band Sepultura's leader Andreas Kisser they want you to wake the eff up. And they have just the app to make you do it.

Rock Snooze is simple: your alarm goes off, and you hear Andreas laying down a bone crunching riff. If you dare hit the snooze button, next time the alarm goes off, Andreas makes it louder. And so on.

So far, it's working well. Not to mention the fact people are tuning back in to UOL 89FM. Which is awesome. I can think of no better way to wake up than with Kisser's guitar shredding my eyes open every morning.
