Burger King - "First Cup" (2013) :15 (USA)
In the 15-second spots "First Cup" BK manager & patriarch John excitedly touts Burger King’s new smooth and delicious coffee for a price that can’t be beat. And by excitedly we mean jittery. Slow down there coffee-fiends.
BK - Two Thumbs - (2013) :15 (USA)
The Voiceover promises that he has two thumbs up, honestly! But then why not, he just got coffee for 25 cents.
BK - Faustin / French chef - (2013) :30 (USA)
Burger King’s new resident stereotype French chef discerningly construct his newest creation the Bacon Gouda Sandwich while a crowd of hipsterettes, cops, muppets, cheerleaders and a woman with a kangaroo waits for the masterpiece... which of course isn't one until "ze coffee".
Volkswagen / VW Jetta - Baby - (2013) :30 (USA)
If you are going to have your life flash before your eyes... Wow, that was quick. Then again a baby hasn't been around much.
Microsoft - Outlook.com - Get going (2013) (USA)
Microsoft relaunches outlook, now as a webmail with features like sweep. This ad may be a tad outrageous with the delivery-man turned stunt man, and everyone connecting left and right to boot - but it does show off the features quite nicely and makes Outlook look quite attractive.

Microsoft - Outlook.com - Get Sweep Automate your inbox (2013)
Microsoft shows off sweep, a cool-looking way of simply filtering your inbox. Have spam auto-deleted, those ten-thousand forwards from your nutty aunt and the annoying bacn from various social services magically vanish so that you can see the email that you want to see.
SocialmediaWeek - Nobody Wants To Be Your Friend - (2013)
Ok, I like "security is making me leave. Sadface" - but I've seen this idea before. Lesson to learn : If you use a megaphone in social media, you do suck.
A&W does the Harlem Shake circa 1974
It looks like Carlton from the Fresh Prince may be inside this bear suit, and it's just as tired as Pepsi jumping onto the tail-end of this shake shark, but at least A&W tried a slightly different execution with multiple mascots. And root beer is yum. Not quite ready for badland but close.
Pepsi Does The Harlem Shake
Some 60+ ad agencies have done it, prompting clients everywhere to take a closer look at our billings, and now Pepsi is doing it too. Yes, it's just another day at the Pepsi office when things get a little out of hand and the cans Harlem Shake like nuts. I finally understand what "live for NOW" means. It means tag on to the tail-end of shark jumpage. This would only have been funny if someone had opened one of the cans at the end.
I'll have a Jolt Cola, please. Or a root beer but then A&W already did a Harlem Shake as well
Exxon Hates Your Children - "banned" - PSA Houston
So "Exxon hates your children" is a 'nationally crowdfunded PSA, where you the viewer can toss in a dollar or ten, a click or twenty to help fund getting this ad on the air. It's aired in Denver, New York and Washington DC but when bought air time in Houston on Fox Exxon decided to issue a cease and desist demand and threaten Comcast into not airing your PSA as scheduled.
Interesting. Now, since i haven't read the C&D I don't know if it's about trademarks which would be something one has to C&D about. My god I hate lawyers so much. Sorry, did I say that out loud?
"yah, chill winston - don't be no cloud on a sunny day" - super bowl original
PETA - Joaquin Phoenix Is Drowning - (2013) :30 (USA)
Joaquin Phoenix is in the latest PETA ad and he gets to keep his shirt on, despite being submerged in a pool. In water, humans drown... explains the VO, as if we didn't know that lack of oxygen reaching the lungs, or in a fish's case their gills, will suffocate us. Then PETA wants us to take the pledge at joaquindrowns. What pledge? Supporting veganism, so don't eat fish. At least they're not turning people into the kind of vegan who eats fish, shellfish.... sometimes chicken, non vegan gummy bears, and the occasional piece of bacon but never red meat. I can't stand that kind of vegan.
DISH Hopper - DISH Anywhere / Tiny Beer (2013) :30 (USA)
The bostonians bring their TV anywhere they want, and with it comes a wee living room, a teeny fridge, microscopic beers and twee nachos that are still hot ow hot hot, ow!
United Way Milwaukee "Baby You're The One,"
The United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Serve Marketing bring teens a reality check, in time for Valentines Day. Basically telling teenaged girls no matter how much the idea of having a baby as a teen might sound appealing the minute you end up preggers the dude's gonna bounce. It also directs them to Babycanwait.com for more info.
I like the idea. I do think the tone and copy could have been more cruel to drive home the point.

Connnelly and Partners "Different" :42 (U.S.A)
Boston based Connelly and Partners want you to know this Valentine's Day that new business pitches are a lot like a first date: awkward, and rehearsed. But like all great relationships, you can learn from them even if you lose.
Wait a second. What's wrong with being different?

Well done, guys. I love these.
Sealy "Life Before Your Eyes" (2013) 1:00
Arcana Academy created this nostalgic effort for Sealy mattresses. It's a nice reminder that we have such an emotional tie to where we sleep and have sex. Although there's not really much sexy time in this spot, it is certainly implied by the fact the couple has two kids.
Reliant Energy "Party" (2013) :30 (U.S.A.)
Reliant Energy channels adidas Originals circa 2008 and uses Matthew Mcconaughey in this cautionary tale.
