Why should I become a logged in adgrunt?

When you log in, you are an adgrunt. Here's what you get for your 20-second effort:

  • Higher quality ad viewing. We're sneaky that way, those not logged in are watching a smaller file. Neener!
  • No daft google ads once logged in.
  • The ability to "favorite" your favorite stuff - it's like an internal site bookmarking system, favorite the articles and ads you want to refer back to, create your own library which you can browse later. Show off your excellent taste in ads, as other adgrunts will see your favorites on your profile page. Very practical! Don't be caught searching for a great ad again.
  • The ability to comment. Anonymous people can not.
  • The ability to post stuff - you can upload and post your own work, or even review an ad book or film related to advertising. All posts that you make will be seen on your profile page.
    This can effectivly turn your page into a gateway to your portfolio page elsewhere on the web. Check out Perlorian Brothers profile page for an idea of what a few well chosen uploads and filled out Bio can do for you. Add some of your best work, make a post or two about the adnews or just comment to get noticed, and google starts loving your profile page.
  • The ability to rate stuff - think an ad is great? Five stars! Sucks? One star. Help shape the "best and worst of" lists.
  • Add your twitter account to your profile, and your tweets will be shown on the adgruntstweets page and in the sidebar.
  • Hook your profile up with Bambuser, and anything you broadcast live will appear on the Bambuser page as well as in the sidebar. No hashtagging needed. So the next time you're on a shoot with your videophone handy, you can give us a sneak peek of what you are up to, for example.

    Did I mention all of that is free?

    For the time being, the upgrading to super adgrunts and thus gaining ability to download ads is temporarly closed while we sort out the kinks as we switch over to the advertising supported system people have been nagging at us to employ for years. All people who are super adgrunts have their accounts 'frozen in time' so when we get it back on track, they have lost no super adgrunt status time.
