Air New Zealand has nothing to hide.

Nothing To Hide - Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand says they do not add any extra fees to their low airfares, like some other airlines do. Checked baggage and complimentary refreshments are included in the fare. "What you see is what you pay" To prove that, they got some Air New Zealand staff volunteers, a camera crew, some brushes, lots of body paint, and went with the bare minimum to show Air New Zealand has "nothing to hide" for the new Air New Zealand television campaign, and an in-flight safety video.

Sand ads, giant towels, and now water ads!

Advertising has been on the beaches since forever, this is what we call a vacation (and since ad people never take a vacation we can't help advertising when we're supposed to). There's been Nissan Sand Castle ads, there's sand billboards that we wrote about years ago, and most recently in Cannes, S-W-H relaunched as Indie with a giant beach towel just last week. The sky is the limit - now there's even foam ads that can blow cloud logos all over.

But lets not stop there, Brandfreak has found a possible adspace in the surface of water -

Scientists at Japan's Akishima Laboratories have developed a technology that allows programmers to literally "write" messages on the surface of water. Its experimental device, which appeared stateside at the Museum of Modern Art last year, is called AMOEBA (Advanced Multiple Organized Experimental Basin). It's a cylindrical tub about 12 inches deep and a little over five feet in diameter. Fitted along the pool's rim are fifty trigger-type units equipped with plungers that agitate the water's surface. Programmed in unison, the plungers can create almost any configuration of ocean wave. (The device was originally developed to test hull performance on ship models.) But an enterprising student at the lab discovered that when the correct wave frequencies intersect, the water will also support messages.

Sci-fi movies have nothing on the real advertising future.

Levi's - America / Go Forth - (2009) :60 (USA)

The audio in this spot from Wieden + Kennedy is believed to be an original wax recording of Walt Whitman's real voice reading four lines of his 1888 poem "America."

Virgin Mobile - Chihuahua - (2009) .30 (France)

Ha! Only a French advertising agency - in this case Hemisphere droit - could come up with a drama involving a toupé-clad chihuahua leaving his mistress as a reference to leaving those silly calling plans where you only get good rates to your X selected Friends&Family. :)

We Believe - Movie Poster - print, USA

Arsonal just completed a poster for We Believe. Directed by Jon Scheinfeld (The U.S. vs. John Lennon) this feature film documentary is a celebration of hope, loyalty, faith and extraordinary love affair between Chicago and the Cubs. Website: www.webelievethemovie.com

Arsonal’s job was to design a poster with themes and emotions that are relatable for any sports fan dedicated to their hometown team. In the development phase, Arsonal explored various concepts for the poster including iconic and generational. In the end, Scheinfeld picked an image to capture the human emotion, which just so happened to be a shot of a Dodger-loving production employee from Arsonal.

Watch for featured appearances b Billy Corgan, Hugh Hefner, Jeff Garlin and more.

ABSOLUT iDrink - the iPhone app that helps you select & mix drinks. Really.

Fine, so they didn't call it iDrink but they should have, because it opens up for countless gags - but today Absolut Vodka has launched an iPhone app, called Drinkspiration, which you can download for free from the app store. Nando's - Outbrünoed Brüno - (2009) :60 (Australia)

The Sphere Agency down under hijacked the Sydney film premiere of "Brüno" by driving a hot pink stretch Hummer up to the red carpet, half and hour before the actor Sacha Baron Cohen arrived, out of that Hummer came scantily clad models, and a fake Brüno shouting in a megaphone. Security was soon yanking fake Brüno off the peidistal where he was shouting out Brünoisms, but not before he had time to yell: "This year’s hottest chicks are covered in Peri Peri." - and the female models poured buckets of the stuff over their white T-shirts. Oh, gross.

That's what you get for pulling stunts at the Milan fashion week, Brüno. ;)

Evian - Skating Babies - (2009) :30 (France)
